Spoke to a few boys about this topic today. The majority think a half full water bottle and a reasonably new sponge allows the 'fluffer' best speed across the turf to the 'sufferer' and also allows for an economical use of water. E.g. man runs onto Ahoghill or Clough pitch with bucket to tend to injured player - Result. Pitch flooded and possibly match abandoned. Q.E.D. |

Ain't much call for a sponge and bucket man at the Thistle.... But if your feeling over worked at Randalstown I can give you a pull out.... I seen a pic of moote in the paper and there's no way one sponge man would be capable of helping that off the field!!!
