Wat a joke .................... last year us and dunloy got hit for massive fines regarding out brawl since then theres been other brawls and the co antrim fa dish out warning  regarding the A antrim v galgorm game .... a player recieves 6match ban ..... Both teams escape with a warning.....  why did us and dunloy get hit hard ......................................1booking in our game  |

Would be interesting to see how they made the difference between yourselves and similar incidents considering their decisions were so different.... |

I was present at both incidents... And to be honest there was very little diffrents... The thing with the galgorm v athletic it started over both teams having players sent off so there was someone to punish straight off!! In both I would say the refs report is what made the diffrents... And there are some refs out there who can spin a good ole garn... Even when they only hung around long enough to see 30 seconds of an incident before running to the showers and jumping into the car while the incident is still on going they are able to write a 10 page report... So people do enjoy being made feel important even at the cost of others!!! IMO

The ref at our match (atletico) told me at the time he wasn't even putting the brawl in his report only the sendings off prob to save him paper work I'd guess lol

And save both clubs a big fine...lol fair play to him!! Don't get me wrong don't think there's any place for full scale brawls on a pitch but the refs only got to report what he sees not make up a pile of s**t to try and make himself look good!!!

Brawl was prob to big a word to use at our match tbh was over before it really got started. Still not sure wot the final outcome was as I thought both teams got fined.

Its very unfair that small clubs weather an offence is committed or not have to pay the same fines as an Irish league team. Should guarantee us all entries into the irish cup if we're on the same keel.

Couldn't agree more, it's hard enough to make ends meet for most junior clubs without these fines - as someone else said 'do the crime do the time', it should be the way it was years ago when for a headbutt you were out for a long time. I myself experienced this way back in May 1983, in a moment of madness (after being taken out mind you) I headbutted a fella and got 6 months it nearly killed me but I never did it again and I don't think the club were fined. It's all a money making exercise as far as I'm concerned |
