Substitutes
16. A Club may at its discretion, use three substitute players at any time in any tie, except to replace players who have been expelled by the referee.
The substitutions can only be made when play is stopped for any reason and the referee has given permission. Only three substitutions by each side will be permitted in any tie and a maximum of five substitute players may be nominated by each side prior to the commencement of the tie.

Worked hard today lads but conceded a few sloppy goals.
You's had a couple of decent chances with wee Padge's prob being the closest.
I have to say lads i thought the clown was man of the match, read the game really well and made some superb tackles.

Thought we battled hard but gave away 3 sloppy goals and in all honesty I think no match practice in near a month showed as I didn't think st pats where as good as people said and on our day we could of been a lot closer and on my own game I was very rusty and lacked the sharpness I had pre xmas but the game itself should bring me and the lads on and its back to the bread and butter next week and hopefully keep the chase going as ahoghill look very strong but we will give it everything.... Well done st pats but the likes of carniny would simply be to much imo northend abu

The four main factor in to days result was constantly giving the ball away very cheaply, bad finishing, our lack of fitness and the injury to Sean Ward, the first cost us big time, when they intercepted a sloppy pass that saw them them break and score two minutes before half time, but at that stage I though we were well in the match and should have got back on level terms but for bad finishing, the second half saw the injury to Sean Ward and that scuppered the taticial switch from 4-5-1 to 4-4-2 instead of Bucky taking up an midfield roll, he ended up in nets,we started to struggle after the hour mark due to the lack of fitness and they hit two more, one a penalty, but all in all we have done exceptionally well in this competition and all the players should hold there head up,its been a good experience and I think we all have learned from it and can take it into the important bread and butter league games,my man of the match was big Butler,I stated at the start of the season he was a raw talent and he continues to prove me correct with each game he plays and I must mention Smillie who fought hard up front on his own, well played lads you done NORTH END proud.

Never easy playing the lone striker...lot of work involved!! Fair play to big Ginger Teeth!! ;D
As for the jolly green and white giant, wasn't it last year was his first in the BSML?? He seems to have bucked his ideas up of late (no more acting the Paul Daniels ;D) and if I'm totally honest, any time recently anyone has spoken to me about him they've had plenty good to say so fair play to him. Needs to keep the head down and work hard....clearly doing something right!!
It's nice to get a wee run in these competitions but now it's back to the "bread and butter" of trying to win the 2nd Division title. Seeing big Duck's mind games this morning, it should be a great second half to the season!!! ;D

Have to agree with deckyb1 they were there to win a game, what impressed me was there work rate, when they attacked it was in numbers and when they lost the ball it was every man back to help.

Good bunch of lads and good luck for the rest of the season I'm not with Northend buddy but was talking to their manager earlier and he had good things to say about your club. He mentioned the friendly too and thinks it's a great idea. It's hard for teams to play football on most surfaces this time of year to be fair.

Cherrs mate, North End made it hard for us yesterday and fair play to them they battled realy well from start to finish and or a credit to their club for that. Think the turning point was rite on half time just after we scored r keeper made a brillant save to keep the score 1 0. Had that gone in could have been different. Hope ur keepers k and it isnt to bad of an injury. Good luck the rest of the season
