The peelers ballsed that up then, because they forgot to issue the 'do not pass go' notice, so he can lift the the £200 when he passes go again. |

I rem reffing Ahoghill Thistle v Glebe Rangers.Gave away two penalties (1 was a challenge from behind on Manny other was a handball by a Thistle defender)got every offside decision correct (NEARLY)fuk the line couldnt trust either side,and disallowed a goal for Glebe lol.And let Glebe off with a goal even though the ball was 2foot over the line.Hard as fek to see with a cluster of players around it and standing facing goal at the edge of the box.Thought i was gonna get croaked end of the game but was shocked when folk said i did well and better than half the bmsl ref's.To be honest the mistakes i made were equal both sides and 100% no favouritism.Thistle won 3-2 might i add :-) :-) Just going threw the motions of becoming the next Hugh Dallas.So beware i could be checking your studs some morning :-)

The bad refs i have came across these below apply to them...
Show some balls to make big calls
Be consistent in their decisions
Explain or let a player query a decision then move on
IMO if a ref followed those 3 things he would do a pretty decent job its not rocket science.

Refereeing standards are absolutely shocking in the bsml. On one hand they aren't that good and they are on their own whilst the best ref's have linesmen etc so you can sympathise with them in a way but there is also times when they defy common sense. In recent games we have had a ref give a goal kick about 10 secs after the ball went out & when the defending side were arguing over who they were going to be marking at the corner. In another we had a shot go over the line & the ref point to the centre for a goal then their defender hoofed it out & he switched arms & gives us a throw in. Pure s**te. Also this year in a game near the start our player kicked the ball away & got booked. Not 30 secs later an opposition player done the same & nothing. A hard and unenviable job but they do themselves no favours.

Yesterday we played a homers man offside, 'Advantage' was played, ball breaks and im in the book for a s**tty tackle. Who the f**k wants an advantage played in ur own final 3rd when yer holding out for a 2-1 with 15 mins left.
Things like that are hard to cope with.

Our ref on Saturday informed us that it is up to the corner taker to pick what side he wants to take the corner from. Never mind that the ball went 5 yards over the right side of the net, just take it from the left sure
f**king awful
