Who all left in the cup lads? Us, Penarol, Thistle and who else?? Some great football played the nyt bhoys. Great to get a goal to  no round for me at the dinner . Also Fair play to Towers who battled for everything. Good luck the rest of the season lads. |

iMO the only time a game should be blew up early if it's at youth level and a team is getting a hammering cause it doesnt donthe losing team or winning team any good, but at adult level, you take it on the chin and work twice as hard to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Just a quick word about Billy from the towers, I seen him have words with Donald and others at the end but didnt know what was going on. I worked with Billy for a couple years at the BUYA and I can honestly say he's not only a great football man but also a complete gentleman as well, in sure anybody from towers, or anybody who has dealings with him, will say the same thing.

i don.t normally get to involed .but the game was asked to b blew up early ...i told waa to play two more mins and waa played more or less played the lot.i explained to billy but to no avale..there were players in club that need time and exper. nfc like any other club has to look after it self and like lads have said ninty means ninty ,, weather good or bad.

alright lads..i am not totally sure what went on with the whole blowing up early thing and verbals after, but my personal view is the same as big mitty has said earlier on - everyone knows it is a 90min game before they step out there. i think tho last nite was a bit of an exceptional case and id say where billy was coming from was that with 5 or 10 mins to go, us having three players off injured at this point and down to ten men and northends fixture schedule in mind he thought it would maybe b benificial to both team if they wer in agreement to blow up a wee bit early (incidently as we agreed to do when 8 up against cullybackey recently). northend totally within their right to refuse!! what i will say is tho is that in all my years in BSML i have never met a more straight down the middle and genuine man, who has prob done alot more in football than those mouthing abuse at him and mayb a bit more RESPECT could have been shown.
as for the football needless to say well beat...one of my worst nights in towers shirt tbh. disappointing not having a keeper last nite (tho not blaming wee liam at all - i wouldnt have fancied standing in ther) and 3 men having to go off injured thru course of game. northend really flying atm and playin with loads of confidence and energy. looking to be a great season for them if they can hold it together. all the best

I was there when this happened and he said to kruger about blowing it up early and when kruger said boys need time/games etc your ole man looked up the line and loudly stated if that's the shower your involved with I hope to f**k u win f**k all...... Then yes a few words where aimed in his direction.
Why did he feel the need to ask kruger when shea was only up the line, and if your man's been involved in football for such a long time I'm sure he's had worse directed towards him

This looks like it might get out of hand here, even though from what's been said and it's over and done with  Look only a few boys heard what happened, obviously me and herbs didn't hear it. Things can be said or done in the heat of the moment which may have happened, I can honestly say in knowing Billy for about 10 years through football, this is the first I've heard anything negative being said about him, he's not (usually if that helps!) that kinda character at all. |
