This should be an easy enough game for us lads, they only scored 8 last game. looking forward to this game, going in as massive underdogs but just hope we come out an work hard start to finish to put up a fight and get good team performance out of this game to bring us thru to next game in the league win, lose or draw. plus have fish pencilled in for 2 in this game!!

Right, what's going on here.
Just as I posted the fixture up, which indicates we're at home tonight, Rab sends me a text to say we're away and to meet at Wakehurst.....
Now Jnr88, I complemented your work on here yesterday, not something I did lightly due to you being a wee s**te, so shed some light on this situation please... ;D

Ok, now the confusion has been cleared up (no thanks to Jnr88 ;D) we play host the the runners up of the Ballymena Saturday Morning League. Going into this as massive underdogs so with lesser expectation on us there's no reason we can't just go out and stick together, clear everything that comes near us and give our all. We've had a great start fella's so lets fight for everything!! Hail Hail

beat 3-1, probably a fair result but we gave away a few sloppy goals, went one nil up threw fish then conceded straight away ,there wasn`t many other chances for both teams in first half, second half we had a bad ten minutes and homers took advantage, big strong team and bullied us a bit second half, good luck with the season, homers not a bad bunch, but i`d never tell them that ;D first taste of defeat lads and its not nice at all, lets all get our fingers out for shore on thursday.............

We battled well and managed to get our noses in front in the opening minutes. We know ourselves the goal we let in 5 minutes later was a very bad goal to lose but honestly for the remainder of the half we picked ourselves up and played some nice football against a very strong homers team.
As Rubberheart (loving the avatar!!!!! ;D) says we went to sleep a bit and Homers took conrol.
One of the best teams we'll face at this level and by losing 3-1 we certainly didn't disgrace ourselves.
On to the next game men, more of the same effort and work is all we can ask for!!

Also, must give some credit where it's due...
Firstly Dessie Blurt has started to get a run in the side and tonight again I thought he did very well. Talks, organises and tries to play football out of defence whenever he can. Certainly doing his best and playing very well.
Big Sexton put in a good shift tonight again, playing a little deeper and trying to support me whenever he could. Showing what he's all about this season and working hard for the team.
There are boys like Fusco on the sideline tonight after impressing and doing well any chance he's had too. Played out of position, in the middle of the park, against Westend and against their best player, doing very well. Came on early against Abbeyview at CB and worked hard. He's another lad IMO not far away from making a place in the team his own.
There are lads on the pitch doing the business and working hard and also lads on the line waiting on their chance and working hard when they get them....as I've said, that's all we can ask for.

Nothing to be ashamed about last night at all, at the end we were just beaten by a team a bit better than us.
1st half there was nothing really between the teams at all, we took the lead through a well taken Fish goal. Unfortuntately Homers equalised inside a couple minutes from a Paul McNeill header from a corner.
2nd half Homers quality shown throw and scored 2 more goals, another from McNeill and one from Barry McDowell. To be fair to us, I cant think of them creating too many other chances in the game although they ahd alot more possession.
Big difference from 1st division and 2nd division is if yuo make a mistake you will more than likely get punished for it whereas last year we probably would have got away with it. The homers top 2 of McNeill and Chimpy were always on the move last night and are both different class. McNeill and Dowie are the best natural finishers in the league by a long slot.
Anyway, a few positives to be taken from last night, everyone put in agreat shift so hopefuly we bring it into tomorrow nights game against Shore.

Thought we played very well first half, but the early goal in the second was a bit of a sucker punch and we didn't really recover.
What age is Sooty now? He was one of the best players on the pitch last night. Has to be one of the best players to ever have played in BSML if not the best.
