Have to say lads, this game was an incredible showing from all involved. Honestly if the Gers sold out Ibrox for a cause like this and put on a show like that I'd have nothing but respect for it, no doubt about it.
Putting everything aside that has happened in Scottish Football recently, Celtic packed 54/55 Thousand into Celtic Park for a friendly in what was origonally John Kennedy's, a promising up and coming Celtic defender who suffered a career ending injury playing for Scotland, testimonial. I was meant to be held a few months back but because of the saga over Lennon's security it was postponed.
John then decided to give his total gate receipts over to the charity helping to aid the famine in East Africa...a fantastic gesture and mark of the man.
It was a good game with a mixture of celebs and former stars (step forward King Henrik!!!!) played in great spirit.
A fantastic night for a fantastic cause!!
Hail Hail...
