Clough 2-2 connor ( clough win 5-4 on pens ) absolutey gutted  i hit my penalty tonite n simpson got down to it, but by time he did ball was across the line a good 2 feet and waa goes no goal  everyone behind the goal said it was in a mile  what annoys me is we didnt even miss a penalty, hard enough to take whenever u do miss one, but to score and it not to be gave ffs but sure thats football wtf can u do. for the team connor had out tonite, i dont think my dad has been any prouder as connor manager than what his team showed tonite. we had 12 players, gary sands in nets and had 2 16 year olds playing. but none the less every single one of them battled and cant fault any of them  connor went 1 up through tyler norwood, then clough levelled, then connor went ahead again and tylers 2nd, then clough scored just be4 half time. good luck to clough next round, and rest of season |

We score our chances we win the game comfortably, we were poor in front of goal. Play like we did first half and we'll have a long hard season. Thought we absolutely dominated the second.
As for the penalty, none of us could see it from the half way line, referee makes the decision, we can only do our bit and concentrate on our own penalty takers, im gonna assume he got the decision correct as Simpo says it wasnt in.
All the best to Connor for the rest of the season, will pick up plenty of points in the second if they show fighting spirit like they did tonight.

Half of the ball was in, without doubt and I'm 100% sure of that. If the lines of the pitch were not a divot and totally flat then it would have been in. It went into the hollow and spun.
The correct decision was made from the ref. End of.
