Even tho i never post i just thot i clear a few things up
I joined bway at 16 when i just left school straight away i loved this club and the people involved with it! Over the years i seen many people come and go but Bway always came 1st for me!
I gave my all for 10 years here and dont regret a min of it! Every1 was there for me when i broke my leg! So when we lifted the div 2 title last year I was delighted to say the least!
But im moving on to a very good all saints team where i will battle like any other for my place! So heres to broadway celtic and the next 10 at All saints!
Now f**k af and leave me alone!

Hopefully the club will keep going & start building now for the future!!! I knw wot broadway meant to alot of people mostly donald. With rubberman & roberthuth there, they have 2 great fella's who will hopefully c the club through. all the best lads Hail hail

Great post mate!! Don't think anyone could question ur loyalty to bway thru out the years, it's been first class to say the least. I don't think anyone cud begrudge you for making the move to saints. It's great to have u on board mate. And I for 1 looking forward to playing with u again and the 4 others that have signed.

its as plain and simple as this , you epitimised everything there was about being a broadway man in yer day , its understandable how you feel , i know it hurts you , but the wee hoops will still be putting on a show , and iv said it b4 and il say it again , hail hail the wee hoops will be here , dont you even dare worry about that sham , good luck and god bless , and i just hope that you can help spur on the saints to the league victory for a top of the town club for the first time since 1976.

I don't know the history as a recent joiner to the league but last 2 seasons have been impressive and looked to be moving upwards.

Bap the club had moved forward on the field and not off it that was the big problem, need structure around any club something Broadway always struggled with. AFAIK Broadway have't folded yet but unless someone comes forward very soon its not looking good.

Comes forward with what pele? Im lost Bale Think he didn't understand your point about the club not coming forward off the pitch mate. Bale, if I'm correct about your question, what I think Pele means is that the club, although greatly strengthened on the pitch, player wise (except when they lost the great Fishington), similar changes weren't improved off the pitch, behind the scenes. Basically, Stevie Elliott done everything behind the scenes with going to meetings, collecting money and keeping everything in order and Michael was snowed under himself sorting kits out and everything else. There wasn't a solid commitee set up to share the load and bring the club forward...

You always hear me harping on about how off the field team is as important as the on field team. One man cant do everything, it was hard enough one man doing treasurer at Westend! never mind having to pick the team, go to meetings, wash kits etc. It might not be the best set up but the work load is spread.
Manager + Captain pick the team, two seperate people, Captain takes training. Treasurer collects money, pays the pitches & refs, looks after fundraising, one person. The secretary deals with the league and goes to meetings, one person. That is 4 different people who are players who play on a regular basis who look after that side of things and then the players take turns at taking the kit home and wash it after every game, something that brings a sense of togetherness as well, it might be a chore but it always gets done.
If anyone wants to ask me anything drop me a PM, I can tell you loads about what fundraising we did and sponsorship etc as well

Haha I'm lost myself now ;D
It was prob a stupid question but pele you said BC haven't fold yet but if someone doesn't come forward very soon it's not looking good. Just was asking what will this person have to bring for BC to stay lit.
That's good rab but we just get quack, bonkers and Lowry to do the heap ;D ;D think everyone at the club appreciates it tho, those lads for all teams who put that work in behind the scenes deserve the awards at the end of the year. Its like a second job for our management and I'm sure most other teams too

There are no club man awards at our place. you are very very lucky if you get bought a pint at the club dinner! People can be taken for granted, Clubs should do a little something for the people that put a lot of effort into the club or those people just end up wondering why they bother. One of our players has a little glass trophy thing from a previous team for making his 100th appearance for his previous club, it is the little things like that, the little details that matter to people, that make them feel part of something, make them feel a real part of the club, man management I guess. In my view little things should be done for people, they will never forget it and will never forget the club

We used to run very hand to mouth with the work load not spread evenly which drove certain players away from the club(Homers )Since Jose Cubitt has come in we now have as follows; Chairman,secretary,treasurer,4 man committee who look atfer the fund raising, manager and coach(with a B liscence)All the above mentioned are active in their roles and i feel this level of organisation has flowed onto the pitch.p.s Yous might have seen our coach on tele on fri night wi Shay Given and that at Stranmillis Were some outfit lol
