Apparently it has changed venues. My guess is it's being played at the phoenix after originally being scheduled to be played at the 3G pitch up at the showgrounds...then again it all depends on the weather.
Either way, it has been injury and work commitments that have taken centre stage for this years final as waveney may not be able to field their strongest 11 but if they could they would be a match for anyone.
With no official statement from the commitments band rep, it really is up in the air whether or not they will introduce themselves as our half-time entertainment tonight...my feeling is if the final is played at the phoenix i dont think they will show but if its the 3G i feel we are in for quite a treat. Just a wee preview which the group have put together for us tonight suitably titled "I can't stand the rain"

That's 10 minutes now that I've been standing at the 3g and still no sign of the teams............ to think I took the night off work and rubbed deep heat into my injurys.......strangely no other supporters, but I'm putting that down to the weather, looks like rain....I'm giving it 5 more minutes, then I'm off to the Phoenix for a spot of dogging

Oh great...that means a probable 'no show' from the commitments also!

I don't actually know how Monty and the other top brass expected anything other than low crowds, lack of the commitments and rain.....they called it "The Rainey Cup" FFS....

Travelling conditions were dangerous... Action from the first half... Some players weren't happy with commitments....

Fantastic montage there fish, really portrays the gritty environment and emotions people felt throughout this wonderous final. I think it was a marvellous spectacle that the rain played such an important role in this years 'Rainey Cup'. So without further a do...with our eyes welling up as our season comes to an end lets all finish with a sing song...
