First of all let me offer my congratulations to Carniny on winning the BSML. Now down to the nitty gritty. If Brian Montgomery stood last night and watched the performance given by "referee" Colin Rainey surely he has to question whether or not this tube is allowed to take charge of any more games in our league. Rainey gave a worse performance than in the same fixture last season (if thats possible) when he said that he had been sent to do a job on the Homers. He has constantly given rediculous decisions against our players knowing that sooner or later he would provoke a reaction from them and this would give him the opportunity to book and eventually send them off. Last night was a disgrace and even neutrals watching have said that its the worst, most one sided display of reffing they have ever seen. I lost count of the freekicks he gave against the Homers but could count on one hand the number he gave against Carniny during the 90mins. So in what was far from being a dirty match, he booked 5 or 6 Homers players and sent 2 off.  So come on Monty, give us your take on his performance, cant wait to hear what you have to say or will it be the usual silence, knowing that he did what was asked of him and did it very well? |

So its Monte's fault Homers got beat? Ffs wise up.
Youse did't have a problem him reffing the Broadway game the other week when youse won 4-0.
I have to laugh at clubs running down the people that give up there free time for f**k ALL to run OUR league.

Anyone I have spoken to thought the ref had a decent game too, sour grapes seems to be the homers favourite food these days. You weren't saying too much the day bill mcmaster virtually played with a homers top on when he reffed the last homers all saints game, nor did you say much when he played almost 27 mins injury time when you's played clough last!!! Although to be fair you's really do your club a great credit when you's go out and punch refs after getting beat. I think it's about time you all wised up and took a good look at yourselves and your clubs conduct before you come on here slabbering about a man who has done more for community relations in the town over the last 40 years than all the politicians put together. The whole league is sick sore and tired at how you's conduct yourselves on and off the pitch so would you's ever just f**king catch yourself on and be gracious in defeat like every other team is. Carniny are the best team in the BSML and it's not because of refs, it's because they get the heads down, work hard and they do their talking on the pitch.

I deleted instead of modifying my post.  The jist of it was as follows. Its instances like this are going to be the ruination of our league. Monty and his family work tirelessly for the league and its all totally voluntarily, i'd like to see anyone else trying it. As a result we have arguably one of the best junior leagues in the country. One we can be proud of. I would like to see another league which could boast a crowd like last nights. It seems every time something goes wrong somewhere its Montys fault. Is it f**k, if people started to look closer to home they would probably find they are the problem or someone within their club. Basically I love my game of football on a Saturday Morning as I'm sure everyone does. There's not many would love Monty's job, so, give the man a break he does a great job. |

Lads ive been kicking(badly) in the BSML for about 14 yrs and was secretary for 9 of those.Ive seen Monty and indeed Davy and John and various committee members at lge meetings etc and they conduct business and the running of this lge to an exceptional standard.There has always been flack and mis informed idiots throw abuse Brians way and there always will be mindless retards stuck in 1970's who will continue to do so.I dont know if it bothers him or if he just doesn't let it show but i personally would say himself and his family are a credit to the lge and it wouldn't function without them!!!It shows what the majority of players and officials think of Brian Montgomery when he gets a standing ovation every year at lge dinner.Keep up the tireless work(that is appreciated) and roll on Monday night  mon the mills!!!!!!!! |

as a complete neutral i thought the ref had a brilliant game, with homers conceeding needless freekicks, not dirty ones.
i was standing at the homers side and the poor man took some abuse. it was almost like the crowd were trying to outdo each other with each threat or insult.

I thought Colin had a good game also and as was said homers give away to many free kicks. yes maybe some refs wouldnt have give them but for me most of if not all the dicisions Colin made were correct.

sounds like sour grapes to me,carniny won the league because ther the best over the season,and to come on here and run the league down and the ref is a joke...big mcdowell attacked the ref thats a straight red,budgie told ref to f**k of in 1st half and near took wee frazers head of in second 2 yellows,so he got them right and it was a pen all day long so i cant see were he had a bad game,if it was not for the refs us guys would not be able to get a game on a sat or midweek.rant over dinners ready lol
