Ive only been booked twice ever, I am 30 years of age, 22 years of football, twice by that same ref and twice against shore this season. I feel like a right bad boy now  Get out of the road on a free then! The first, we won't discuss..... did you speak to Pearse tonight? |

lads , i dnt putting the nets up , dont like teams cuming to ahoghill and not getting well treated for a final .

Big man gets a lot of negative things said about him, mostly by Antrim teams, but he has a hell of a will-to-win

fair enough but was disappointed that he was the only shore player that didn't offer his hand after the match (or that I noticed anyway).
Thought Monty's post match speech to the Shore lads needed a bit of work though, sure kick em while they are down ;D
It was definately a tough way to finish a season, I'm just glad we get a month off now, I'm beat!

I think the extra effort that we have put into training over the season showed in the end last night. We played in two games where it has went to extra time and came out winners in both. That is another reason why our fitness coach Mark Watson is a legend

Great result last night, great season and will even admit the young brothers 2nd was outstanding, was getting a bit nervous for him at the end when shore were trying there hardest to bring him down, but think he's use to it now after a year in the 2nd.

not much between the two teams, but i think the fitness and a slight bit of class in the end seen us through.

Congrats to Westend on a great season and was a good battle. I gifted you's the first goal with my first touch which was a slice and then we came into it more and thought we were going to win it inside 90, but thats football. We won our 2 previous meeting by a single goal so think it was no shock that Westend took it this time round. Westend have been the best team we have played in the league so fair play to yous and good luck in the first.
Those with their theories of Shore throwing the FC Antrim game are way off the mark. We tried to win every single match and always played our strongest team but have had loads of injuries and to be fair this past month our squad has suffered.
Should be a good one on Mon night for the last spot.

have to say was so gutted that the blind linesman flagged for offside
when i was clearly on!!!!
could have been the turning point for shore
think the linesman should retire after that match
but again congrats all at westend lookin forward to meeting you's next year

Congratulations to both teams on promotion.
Very little between the 2 sides. Shore battled very hard and probably shaded 1st half but struggled to break down what looked like a well organised back 4. Kept Haler and Pearce very quiet all game. Pearce also had a pretty blatant stamp on Westend centre back which went unpunished.
Westend definitely better team 2nd half and extra time with young Watson scoring a great goal which deserved to win them the game.
Some season for Westend with back to back promotions and the cup as well.
Look forward to playing both teams next year and seeing if I can keep young Watson quiet in midfield.
