Jeff who will linfield's first choice pairing be up top this year...thompson and patterson? serious options! Thompson is gonna have a surgery so i believe that is why they have signed Patterson. Im sure jeff knows better tho.

I see Conor Downey eventually signed a deal at Ballymena, him and Jenkins in centre mid should be a great combo.

Ah right didnt know that, just thought with McCallister, Fordyce, Browne, Carvill and im sure there are others i havent mentioned, the competition up top will be fierce this season. Just cant see big DJ drop a fit Thompson and Patterson.

There was a wee kid came on for N Ireland in the elite final at the Milk Cup, he's at Linfield can't even mind his name but imo he will make a name for himself this season.
He looked different class, Jamie McNamee possibly his name, played on the left.
You know who im talking about jeff?

Can't say iv heard of him pele what age was he. Wasn't really following the milk cup this year. I do know that there is a scary amount of talented youngsters at linfield at the minute. A lot of them tend to move across the water before we even see them in the first team.
Don I wouldn even try to second guess big Davy lol. He has a challenge on his hands keeping them all happy. But as you say when fit Thompson and patterson will start. Last season he favoured 433 with thommo down the middle not sure if that would suit Patterson or not. Mcalister must start in my opinion he could play wide though in a 433 or 442 fordyce has also impressed pre season but he can also play midfield but then ye have the likes of garret gaulty n mulgrew. Plenty of options and I know they say its a good dilemma to have but I can't help fearing big davy will f**k it up lol.
We should win the league by at least 10 points this season and should be aiming for the domestic clean sweep and a good go at the setanta cup. Not asking for much ;D

They will both be scrapping for the wooden spoon come end of season.
Ballyclare were fortunate to beat ballymoney yest, was a poor enough game. Fella nicky sharples for ballyclare looks a cracker

Seems as tho Carrick aren't so bad after all Deserved something out of yesterday's game They got the majority of there players signed last week, apparently they were excellant yesterday. I was up at Solitude on Saturday. Carrick were excellent. Very difficult to break down. Davy McAlinden was man of the match by far. Heatley also stood out for Carrick. It was only when the Reds made a few changes, bringing on Gormley and McMullan, that they looked like scoring. Joe Gormley looks like an excellent prospect.

Yes pele only 19 was with the blues as a youngster then went to Preston who released him in the summer. One to watch definitely but his first task will be to break into the first team.

From todays bel tel big davy hits out and doesnt hold back. Have absolutely no idea, none at all, absolutely no clue who he could be talking about in the bit in bold ;D ;D ;D ;D Given the resources at Jeffrey's disposal, he was able to bring Rory Patterson as a late substitute but the boss insists he is growing tired of opposing managers sniping at Linfield's embarrassment of riches.
“When we want to sign a player the process is very simple; if they want to sign for one club, we get a deal done,” said the Windsor chief (right).
“I am sick of listening to people talk about the money Linfield have to buy any player they want. That is simply not the case.
“We only offer a player what we can afford to pay them. We will never pay them late. And we will never ask any player to take a pay-cut.
“Players come here because they want to play for Linfield, not because of money because I know they could get more elsewhere.
“That is why I get annoyed at what other people say. And if it continues maybe there will come a time when I will start embarrassing a few people by telling everyone what they pay players.” As for the last paragrah please davy please do it you know it makes sense. Can just picture the bigman sitting wi the pipe going threw the list of wages players at a certain club are on again no idea which club

In the last year the glens have been to hell and back with the financial problems but were are steadily rising through the ashes. Jeff you are the only person I know who wears a glentoran badge all round Glasgow and even more so wear a glentoran top all around Blackpool on their stag then comes on hear slating them. You really should make your mind up Jeffrey my boy.
