Galgorm is the way forward. Used to be a member at galgorm when I was a student. Good course but only for about two months of the year. Balls plugin on the fairway in April isn't good. Allen park is one of the best value courses around. Moyola park is a good course. Blackwood outside Bangor is also decent for the money.

I'm still only a student, so usually either Tuesdays or Thursdays depending if we have a match at night and most Wednesday evenings depending on weather. Sundays the odd time too. I aint got an official handicap currently. I would think it would be around 10 or that. My best rounds at Galgorm have been 4 and 5 over.

The course is in superb nick atm, if anything it needs a good watering. Blackwood outside Bangor is also decent for the money

I'm going to put it out there. What a hateful hateful little course. I simply don't know how you can play that course. I just find it brutal. Greens are terbul out there. Boring as hell too. Fair play though, 9 out there is good shooting.
This thread should be called 'The Golf thread'. ;D

The thing i like is after football you can get a round in 3 hours. Losing alot of members i believe too.

Reports in the antrim guardian this week that Allen park golf course is to be revamped by antrim borough council!...2 3g pitches, 2 grass pitches and an indoor sports hall. Plus driving range and club house to be modernized. Fantastic news for the local borough.

Must be an election coming up, they wheel this ballix out every time. The council invited the Shore Committee down in 09 to show us the plans.......3 years later and not a step forward
If it ever came off it would be pure quality, plans looked amazing, but that's a big if
Shocking that Antrim hasn't got a 3g pitch

I'll believe it when they start work on it......there is to be a state of the art gym too, but the plans see an overlap onto the golf-course which will have to be re-designed
