thats some punishment handed down to them 2 players by both club and country for there antics after the dutch game and at the iceland game can only do nothing but hand the title to celtic ;D ;D ;D ;D what do u think lads?  |

They totally deserved whatever punishment came their way. Completely childish antics. But disagree, it doesnt hand the title to celtic...Alexander is a more than capable replacement for McGregor and Ferguson's performances have been well below par recently so maybe now a chance for Davis to play in his correct position.

agree stewartie. Hopefully wee davis gets a run in the middle now. Baz has been poor this yr and it hurts me to say that. Punishment seems very very harsh and i feel there must be more to this story than what has been reported

I dont think the punishment was too harsh they get what they deserve! fergie has been poor for the gers since his return from blackburn so hopefully he is on his way out! it will be good to have wee stevie and pedro in the middle and then the returning kev thomson so he wont be missed! as for mcgregor think he has threw his career down the pan!he is such as good keeper!

very childish behaviour from them, im embarrassed for them..altho with the punishment being handed out there must be more to it, or previous similar behaviour at rangers, for the gers to hand out that punishment. maybe rangers seeing it as an easy way of getting rid of the 2 but keeping the fans onside...

stupid and childish behaviour just shows that irrogants of some footballers. as a rangers fan, would like very much to kepp a hold of mcgregor but ferguson is done, has been done for last couple of years. sell him and a get a few million. thomson will take his place nicely.

read the story in the news of the world apparently hutton brown whittaker involved also with scott brown only leaving twenty minutes before hand! cant believe he was handed no punishment!

I think the point is being missed that Rangers handed out their punishment before the SFA. Think the SFA were a bit embarrased and handed out their punishment after.
I have a sneking suspicion this is the chance Walter Smith was waiting for to get rid of Ferguson, hasnt been producing the goods and by all accounts thinks he rules the dressing room (just ask Paul Le Guen) - have also heard that Ferguson and McGregor wer doing a lot of sh7t stirring about Kris Boyd not playing for Scotland.......... seems it has come back to bite them on the a4se

def think it was harsh its just give david murray the opportunity to get rid a couple big name players as he said he was needing to do without the fans being able to make an uproar about it now. but you have to ask why did george burley allow the 7 players to go to the bar at 4 in the morn in the first place? still wont have any impact on the league ferguson has been terrible since coming back from injury but would def like to keep mcgregor best keeper in scotland. |

the reason none of the other players were punished was because they were still able to take part with the squad the next day and didnt have to be told to keep noise down by hotel staff!!
smith has def been looking a reason to get rid of ferguson for ages and as for mcgregor he is a good way of rangers getting back some champions league money so by making him not wanted he be easier to sell!!
as for this meaning league is over, no way mite even galvanise rangers the way the mcgeady thing did with us!! still think that davis wont get a chance on the middle either though as sure use have this wonderkid edu to come in!!

walter smith just has a strange selection!dont think him and pedro did enuf on sunday in the middle but suppose we will have to give it a few games!edu is a gud player and gers fans aint seen enuf of him this season or velickas need to be more involved! we will just have to cash in on those two numptys but by the looks of things no one wants barry!perhaps cowdenbeath!:-D
