Ferdinand is done at that level. Evra has went downhill the last 2 seasons. Evans isn't good enough at the top level.
I cringe every time Anderson plays. Hopefully Cleverley keeps improving as United need someone in midfield to dominate a game.
United should go with Jones and Vidic as their first choice pairing now at centre half.

Watched fergies interview regarding Ferdinand...he mentioned his back 4 of Jones, Ferdinand, vidic and smalling who more or less will be rotated. Evans didn't seem to be in the equation.

I thought the only player who really looked a cut above was Smalling. Morrison did OK when he came on - at least he wanted to go forward. As for that Gibson toolbeg, N.I. caught a lucky break when he declared for the Rep. He is shockingly pedestrian. Hate seeing him in a squad... |

Velencia has lost his confidence, it shows, he never wanted to beat a man til he really had to, Morrison looks decent, pogba looks decent tho was poor when he came on, frairs just wants to ping the ball about, no good, diouf will never do, kiko just can't live up to the hype, Gibson is better goin to Leeds or some s**t like that, Evans on his way out, smalling did ok, gets a game under his belt anyway. United are playing very badly at the min and i just don't see how it will improve but i live in hope..

Valencia comes inside too much so annoying because he would skin the full back everytime and his left foot seems weakish.
Unless the twins calm down they will never do at Old Trafford, loads of talent and ability but too f**king gung ho to get the ball and wreckless at times.
Smalling is getting over shadowed atm with all the talk about Jones but imo there is nothing between them, i think Smalling is an absolute beast of a centre half, great in the air, quick, great on the ball and a great reader of the game. He reminds me alot of Rio only more aggression with him.
I honestly think Fergie will get rid of alot of players that played last night i'm sure he knows better than us that some of them are just not good enough for United.

Complete idiots and wreckless the pair of them. Never feel they are far away from a penalty, trying to dribble somewhere stupid or a yellow/red card. Seem to pick up more than fair share of injuries too. (which is not the worst thing in my eyes) |

You know you are in trouble when it's up to Darron Gibson to orchestrate the play like Wednesday night.
Diouf is a waste of space. Johnny Evans gave away far too many free kicks against 'inferior' players. Didn't need to.
I agree about Valencia has lost a lot of confidence, as he was a cracking player.
Not enough movement out of Macheda up front. The only player looking like breaking Palace down was Morrison, but again his inexperience didn't give him enough confidence to take men on.
Ultimately the ball went from side to side with no penetration.

The squad is so light at the minute in terms of quality it's unreal in comparison to where they where when they last won the double.
The da Silvas, Park, Gibson, Diouf, Macheda all not good enough. Berbatov seems content running his contract down. These boys are holding back the like of Pogba, Tunnicliffe, Morrison. People are paying £30/40 a ticket to go to watch these League Cup matches and they are rewarded with that garbage.
As for the 1st team, Evans still loses concentration at vital times. Evra off form and no competition for his position. Need rid of Anderson too, useless, a midfielder who can't run, pass, tackle or shoot.
We have no recognised right back and are relying on Giggs, Carrick and Fletcher staying fit all season. Doubt that any of them have played 2 or 3 games in a row so far this season.
Needless to say I'm not very optimistic!!
