Christmas for the Saints is officially cancelled this year, big final on the 27th December against another of the top 2, Harryville Homers. Todays result and performance wasnt pretty, but we got there in the end and thats what counts. Fair play to Connor they pushed us the whole way, and defended with their lives at times, but effectively our fitness got us over the line and into our second final of the season. Special mention must go to big Norton at the back for Connor, excellent game, totally emptied the tank and was in my opinion man of the match. I must also say he is an absolute ringer for Thomas Vermalean of Arsenal  |

well done today lads...fitness did tell in the end, but think we deserved penaltys at least  use a re a good strong big side, and will be hard to stop this year...so good luck in the final boys, ill be thinking of use when im lying like a corpse over christmas lol ps: ur keeper is a c**t lol...some super saves |

What a cup tie that was today!!
Connor came out the traps quickest and punished us early on with Telford scoring and if it wasnt for Cat we could have been 3-0 down before we started with him saving twice from Ronaldo!! We started to get into it then and some unbelivable clearances off the line from Connor kept us out.
Second half thought we showed alot of character after a poor first half and really got at Connor!! definitely thought was gonna be one of those days when big Smiley had a shot cleared off the line by Big Lyness!! but we kept at it and got the goal we deserved through Windows!!
Extra Time our fitness told with the oldest man big Carlton Palmer making a lung busting run to get on the end of a great ball from Laffin to give us the lead!! Cat then made another great save from Mervyn and after that thought we defended well to see us through!!
Credit to Connor definitely gave us a hard battle today but definitely thought our fitness told in extra time and that ultimately seen us through!! Think the last two weeks after winning the Top Four we have shown alot of different qualities as a side to win the last 2 games and hope it continues throughout the season!!

I'm hearing its to be played at the Phoenix. i heard that too!!bloody awful pitch and facilities.whats wrong with Chimney Corner??we played the ace cup final there last year AGAINST AN ANTRIM SIDE!!!Seems to me Saints want to take us to smaller pitch eh Joe??? The reason why the league like it in ballymena is it attracts a bigger crowd which is understandle as i doubt i will go if its in Antrim. Still think my call is a good one - Toss a coin for Ballykeel or Broadway pitch. |

we will play the final anywhere regardless of size of pitch!! just hope it is on as be bad for both teams if prepare and stay off drink over christmas for it to be off at last minute!!
