Here we go again!!!!!!!! Carew theres more 2 life than a game of football! Would it not be wiser 2 try not 2 hype up a match tht has caused alot of bother for both clubs. Dunloy would play in ahoghill any day of the week, just because of a few mindless people on both sides it wudnt hinder us of returnin 2 the "san siro" lol rather play at ure ground than the swimmin pool at wakehurst! The thistle will be welcomed at mc camphill pk wit open arms.

I really can't understand the rationale behind Ahoghill losing the use of there pitch for this replay!! Its an absolute joke and doesn't stand any reasonable sense.
The league have set themselves a very dangerous precedent here!!

sure i was told ahoghills a very dangerous place for teams 2 play at then the league uses our pitch for semis and finals . doesnt add up ......

My point exactly. . . . It leaves it very open for teams to say they won't play at Ahoghill as the league have deemed it to be "unsafe" But the middle of Wakehurst is a very "friendly" spot indeed

the league has not said that ahoghill is an unsafe place to play!! the minutes of the meeting will be read out at the next meeting so everyone will know the reasoning, but the reason was that ahoghill thistle were found to have been at fault for the abandonment (by the co antrim) and that is why they got bigger fines and as the game wasnt beyond the required time it has to be replayed!! the league felt that as ahoghill thistle were found to be the main cause that the game should be switched to a neutral venue, no where in the decision was it said that ahoghill was unsafe hence why a semi final is being played there this week and other games of such nature will be played there throughout the season!!
both teams obviously accepted the decision or they would have appealed it so i dont get why people are on here stirring it up as it may lead to the next game being even more of a flashpoint and the same could happen again which i am sure no one wants to happen!!

Joe I for 1 am not stirring but merely giving an opinion on what has been spoke of,so I resent that wee comment. When we order teams to play away from their home ground we are giving into the mindless thugs and hanger ons that plight our society mate. A great wee club like the Thistle should have been able to stage this game with their own people ensuring all that ensues is football and only football. A chance to right that perceived wrong in the eyes of the commitee! Just my opinion

i didnt say you were stirring things up but there are people who are!! i was merely stating what the decision was and how we came to it, and believe it or not the committee doesnt need to explain its decision but i felt it might help in this case!!
i understand where you are coming from but it is only one game in which they have to play away from home, other leagues may have applied the sanction for longer or more games but we decided not to and hope that in future nothing like this happens again!! the same would happen if thsi was to occur in other games with other teams etc!!

Fair play to you wee man! Aye some clarity on the decision would be ideal before the story gets torn n twisted!
