pele, I am told the match is in Ballymena so if you go to antrim, you wont be playing us.
A little word of advise, do not under estimate Masserene. They are up for this match. All the pressure is on Penarol as reigning champions, Masserene have nothing to lose as they are not expected to win.
I can assure you one thing, you ain't even going to have a comfortable game never mind win.
As an ex Penarol player, I am really looking forward to this.

Indeed........the boys at Masserene couldn't have asked for a better opener to their first season in the top flight. All the boys are really looking forward to it and although we go in as under dogs, Penerol need to be wary.......very wary!!  |

Rang big Johnny Becks and told him. Big Hightower got split and had to go off. Then I had to drop into midfield and Simon Murray went up front.

Well - i'm one of them - take no heed of abbeyview no.1 - every single one of our team knew that we'd be up against it in this match - which proved to be the case last nite - we were dissapointed to go 4-0 down but gave a decent account of ourselves for the rest of the game i thought - penerol punished us for some terrinle defending but we battled hard til the end - being as its our first season in the first we will learn from this game and hopefully improve - good game lads and good luck this season

Thanks for you comments. You can be assured that we will take points on some teams this year. Are aim is to finish 1 point about the bottom 3. A shock to our system last night, but we can only improve. I also want to say that the match was played in a good spirit and that Masserene were made very welcome by everyone at Penarol. So thankyou for that and good luck for the rest of the season. Looking forward to the return game ;D |
