Things are looking very bad for the swifts at the min,beat 3-1 bye demense then lose a player stans been chasing for 6 months after 1 game(tony culbertson was told after 1 game he was free to look for another club) and just heard on the grapevine that there captain weasel has lf left the club for 7 towers??
Surely the club captain wouldnt go and leave stan and the swifts in the lurch like that,really thought this would be the swifts year??

ive no concern what goes on at swifts and have no idea whats going on, but ive always been under impression that weasel was, and always be a towers man at heart.

Yes, its true Weasel is away but this kind of stuff happens! Didn't see it coming TBH but we have a few other Centre mid's to choose from to cover him, so we are not going be short of players! Did not know Tony had been told to move on, plus another player has had to call it a day at the club for personal reason's! So far we have played two league games winning one and losing the other, so its early days! These are times when boys need to stick together, and try and move on.

Have to agree 100% with u clown,i know from talkin to a few towers players they r really struggling and think weasel will struggle to get a place on there team IMO but they must of seen something,think stan showed alot of faith in him making him captain and gets it threw back in his face,surely he must of knew b4 the start of the season he had no intention in staying with the swifts.. It will be interesting to here stan's take on things?? |

To b honest weasel is a very tidy player but sure he''s the height of a daisy and my 6 year old has more strength  and i think 3rd div football suits him and there's def a big difference in stanards in each div but as i knw weasel well and he's not a bad spud i wish him all the best but dirty action weasel tut tut!!! |

Well thats ur opinion mate but having played against them all id def put tony in ahead of wesael and ricky,think if ud of seen him there for 10 games ud of had a different opinion,must have something about him when draperstown celtic want him
Time will tell how losing weasel and tony will affect use but cant see it being a big loss for use,think use'll be alrite

Aw no Im staying put lol,
Everything grand at the Swifts just a wee blip in the life of our fledglings.
Weasel has left the club and I wish him all the best, the club was there before him and we'l keep going without him.
Less headaches for me now tho the strenght of the squad is still brilliant we just have to wise up and get focused on the season ahead.

Glad to here,1 man doesn't make a club but with greg in goals (best keeper in the 3rd) paul devlin big zola wee darren mcgaughey and a few others use'll not be far away,randalstown will be a tough game on wed nite good luck hope use get a good result

thespecialyin/youngster/danaldo i have explained all my reason to the people that matter, you seem to be more worried bout the swifts than ur own club
stans a great lad and iv always got on with him and thought the world of him and we will stay mates
i loved my time at the swifts and im very grateful for everythin they have done for me and the ones that matter know that during my time there i put in more effort than anyone
but like stan says the club were there before and they will be after me and if ud have seen my start to the season ud prob say they will be better off
it all boiled down to that i wasnt enjoying it as much anymore and with only a few years left of playing i thought id try something else
most of the players at the swifts are either brothers, cousins or close mates and i really wish them all the best for the future
the club is superbly run and all the players in it i couldnt ask for better bunch of lads but this is just a personal reason so id prefer to leave it at that, let the swifts progress an get promoted and il worry about mself

boys there a bit of waffle gettin written here bout weasals reasons for leaving the towers and that he wasnt getting his place etc. the facts are that weasal was coming back from a long long absence from a serious knee injury. for the final few months of the season he was getting integrated back into the team, with starts and odd appearance off the bench...it was all about not rushing him back and him getting his confidence back. i cant speak for weasal but he decided to leave that summer and i can only assume it was so that he could continue to build up his fitness, confidence and get his game back. i know that he has not made this decision lightly - and that he knew stan would be hurt by it. but at the end of the day he cant help it how he feels and the swifts will go on without him. stan will get the team together and go again, thats wot it all about - it only football at end of day, no point makin it like life and death...

Stan thats not the attitude to have your the bloody manager. you should be helping pick boys up after a couple of bad results not acting like a big wein saying your leaving!
and on the tony the tiger subject, he is a complete goat with a bigger ego than mario ballotelli. And he's s**te. im not a good player mysel but he should be in a team with the likes of ernie beatle, davy brown trousers and kieran butler etc.
The swifts will be alright, once alota players realise its going to be a battle to the end and not justs walking over every team every week. Get your heads out of your arses sign a new right winger and maybe a forward abd the swifts will have the title.

7towers dont worry I was merely doin a wee bit of fishing Il be the last man out the door at the swifts the club me and my cousin started and i sure as hell aint going to walk away from the wee club.
