Mark Watson (no 6) for Westend is still a class act. Should still be playing higher league. Who has he played for Mitty? played for Carrick Rangers for the last 3 or 4 years before this season. A few people thought he had a decent chance of making it across the water when he was 15/16. Had a few trials too.

Very hard game tonight, dunloy were very unlucky to go in at half time 1 down having hit the post twice and played all the football but a silly mistake and big dc punished dunloy again but dunloy played abit better in the 2nd half and got the goal they deserved through wee goal machine stevie dooey but dunloy seemed to sit back and the game went to extra time, dunloy were the stronger team and got the goal after great work bye stevie dooey to score a great solo goal,so dunloy have won there 1st trophy in there 1st season and promotion so great 1st season for them........ and well done to westend in winning the league

He must be about 24/25 now, reasons explained on an earlier post I must have missed that 'earlier post'. How was it explained?? Did someone write, "about 25/26 years ago a man and woman, known locally as 'The Watsons', got together at the Roller Disco. One thing led to another and the woman ended up pregnant. Approximately 9 months later she gave birth to a young son, he was newborn and that's as young as it gets.... His name was Watson and THAT'S the reason he's 24/25 now".... Is that about right?? LOL...

....by the by, a very big well done to Dunloy. I said at the start of the season they would be a great side and they've proved it. Also credit where it's due to Westend. Two great teams and it's good to see standards rising throughout all three divisions!!!!!

well done lads in your first season! Think you just piped us in the fitness stakes in extra time. Didnt help when Gazza went off injured in the first half and we lost that creative force in midfield. Didnt think both teams played to their best, but yous created the better chances in the first half with the wind behind yous and we were lucky to go in 1-0 up at the break. Some good battling in midfield by both teams and i thought Watson had a blinder. He was everywhere! Thought the Handford twins kept Smilie quiet but he only needs one chance to make summit happen as he showed when he hit the post. All the best for next season - we shall meet again lol Ps cheers for the beer!!! ;D

Think it was Peter Handford their dad who started the club off, and managed them for a few months before Marcus kicked him out. Ross is the middle brother. Played a good few games for the Crues, Coleraine and think he played at Larne too. Good player
