I seen this on another forum i go to...
When you were a kid, playing football in the park or playground, who did you pretend to be when scoring or making a great tackle?
For me it was always Paul McStay or John Collins of Celtic.

...in p6/7 Ryan Giggs started making a name for himself at Utd (when I was in p6/7 not when he was before any of the Chesneyites get confused) I always wanted to play like him, even went round telling folk I was left footed and spent a whole year just kicking with me left, started off completely rubbish but eventually picked up a bit until it got to the same poor level as my right. So I can thank Ryan Giggs for having two bad feet instead of one!!! lol...
Also thought Sparky Hughes was pure class!!!!

For me it has to be the Great Sherman Wright. ;D ;D This is true.... There used to be no TV's in the DR so the youths there were confined to idolise local role models (or "roll" models when refering to Sherman) from games of headers and volleys with the horses as goal posts down behind Waveney Youth Club/Young Offenders Centre.... Lots of Role Models developed to the youth as a result of no television.... They had Sherman for football (also hide and seek champion) Skids for Rally Driving, Chrissy Kennedy for tooth brush use, Bobby Faith for lushing, No wonder Chesney is a first team regular at Broadway and passed his driving test first time with guidance like that....
