So last game db09 was our only player, now its brian. You boys make me laugh. Darren (connor) said in another thread that after the game Connor beat Broadway 5 that Darren Burgoyne was the only 1 who looked to cause any damage and i said after watching last nights game against mich Brian was only person on the BC team who looked like creating something. BC alot of good players, micky,donald,darren,sexton,brian etc but last nights game Brian was only 1 who looked to being causing any threat to Mich.. Gordy not score?  |

see to be honest, use have tried to knock me off my big pedestal all year...and im still sitting on it here challenging for the league title with connor, already promoted and were still in 2 cups I think its safe to say even if Broadway do beat us tonite and go on to win the league, i think ive already had enough Glory  |

Both teams are a credit to the second division, as many of the other teams have been this year, and will do well in the first!!!! |

Totally agree fish! Both teams have been a credit to the division this year (alongside other teams like Clough going on that superb cup run) and will definitely hold their own in the first next season, alongside whichever team goes up via the playoffs!

2-1 Connor. Missed the first 10 minutes but from what I seen of the 1st half Connor fullly deserved the lead, two super goals from Marriot again, give the man chances he will score. Broadway never really got going at all 1st half but Connor also played well. 2nd half Connor started well again but didnt really create too much then Broadway started to play a wee bit and had a go at them. This coincided with the game becoming more 'physical' as some predicted  Think Broadway started to get the hump up (think thats the techical term for it!) and scored with about 5 mins left then went pushing for the winner. Last 15 minutes was a proper battle with loads of tackles flying in to keep the neutrals happy Think overall Connor deserved the victory, though if Broadway had got the 'hump' up 10 minutes earlier than they did I would have fancied them getting an equaliser. I predict a few Connor sore bodies in the morning! Sets the league up beautifully. PS the stew was lovely, getting stuck into the 5th bowl now! |
