that pitch in cookstown is good for training on but it's abit odd for a match..moyola were training on it on a thursday nite and it was a first class job, excellent light, surface etc, but for a match you need good old grass!!

No mr fish it didn't. I had about 10 kids in total interested, but in fairness i hadn't advertised it apart from on here, so it was family friends n stuff and easy for me to call off. I have since started up a coaching school over the past few weeks, and took my first job last night. Birthday Party. Here's a pic of me wee van Got my graphics on there a fort night or so ago, and hope to be up and running doing courses all over the place soon. Now, i didn't put this pic up for advertising Pav ;D ;D

Did you see it now fish?! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Hopefully things take off for me, though it will be hard work.
Had a few folk sayin they'd be interested in birthday parties so lookin good on that front.
Would of been easier a few years ago to get this type of thing off the ground. Boys clubs including the ones i was at (i.e. Carnmoney Colts) , didnt do anything like this. It was a case of go to training and play a game.
These days most boys clubs have their own coaches, which is good for the kids, at least they are getting taight the basics at an early age.
Still, kids cant get enough of football, and my course, when i start them, will be at the weekends and evenings, so hopefully i'll get interest in them.
Who'd you play for in the early days fishster?

I know who you is pal did anyway, for i can see your e-mail address I see people ;D ;D ;D ;D I'll come down surely, do a session and see how your boys like it. I haven't been able to do much with Templepatrick this season. It started off well with pre season, but then after the wedding i wasn't down much, and with the astro once a week now for an hour, i dont think anyone is interested in doing anything. I 'can' understand that really, with the winter night here, noone wants to be standing about too much, and lets face it when your payin 30 odd quid for the use of the lights at the forum, you want to be playin football. So i haven't been able to do as much as i'd like to have done this season

Shore are at a bit of an advantage all the same. They have a hockey pitch as well as grass areas to train on. Have they flood light af any sort down there?
N I dont mean like Windsor Park ;D ;D
Big bonus having a set up like shores, to any football club.

that wee bro of mine set it up,il be having words no doubt aye and its hard to get the numbers down too,a hell ofa lot of respect for Shore and wot Anto is doing dowwn there, the numbers are unbelievable week in,week out....would put many a senior team to shame We consistently have at least 16 down, but most weeks we have 20. Would have to say Antos training is top class, our fitness is starting to make a big difference in matches, all goes back to a very good pre-season.

N I dont mean like Windsor Park ;D ;D Big bonus having a set up like shores, to any football club. The floodlights are very very good, you could easily play a match under them, the ones on the hockey pitch are good also, just not as good as the rugby pitch ones

With facilities like that it makes me wonder why Shore aren't a better side than they are
