Well last nightsdefeat to FC Antrim confirmed our relegation. Something that most of the squad knew was going to happen. It really hit us hard losing our 2 main striker at the end of last season, who in 1 of them alone scored more than the entire squad this year. It was failry noticable to that we have some fair weather players as the better players started showing up for midweek games and saturday games when it wasnt pishing down.

Thanks needs to be mentioned to the shortone for his work on and off the field for the club. He is now moving to Omagh after giving up his life to a women. Fool. ;D (BTW were is my bottle of vodka - ie night of the races for Stig?)

With rumours too that our gaffer is going to take up his post as Larnes under 18 manager, it really will be a fresh start again for the Saints.

As for last nights match, we were missing 3 key players due to work and injury but had a couple of others back so we should not have been getting beat 4 - 1.

However in saying that, the ref just hadnt a clue what was going on, and missed so many off the ball incidents and bottled big decisions. At one stage, well infact 3 i can remember the game turned into just short of a free for all. Ref booked players form both teams twice with yellows and never sent them off. Stupid Chunt. Sent one of our lads off for a rash tackle, while big pearse and FC Antrims Centre Back (possible there captain) and centre midfielder threw a few punches and headbutts. A Weaker ref would have abandoned the whole thing. Have to say, the crowd that came down from both Antrim and the locals made it even tastier. I have seen smaller crowds at Irish league games this season.

Ah well at least we dont have to play the yaps for a season or two now which hopefully will give things a bit of time to calm down.

Disappointing that that the game even went ahead last night but i guess it continues the list of ridiculous decisions by the powers that be against us.

That aside, we just struggled to get the best 11 out every week, if we had done that even with the calibre of players we lost at the start of the season we would've been alright.

But as you say mower we'll move on and at least we've got the larne derby to look forward to!!

Well that said if the rumours are true then their might not even be a Larne derby.

True.

If we had the players we had for out the last few games all season, then their is no way we would be in the situation were in. Drawing at Conor Rangers etc is just a prime example.

We have a charity match next week. Playing at Inver Park. Its at 10 O clock then back to the bar for the FA cup final. Its a yearly thing Saint. But as usual will turn into a mixture of a mess about and a kicking match.

i feel for yous not staying up
hope there will be a derby match but il only be there as a spectator as ive told the boys at xmas this season finishes it for me. big mckeen finishes also and cow and big ricky in nets both going to sign but only available if team stuck as they have work/ family/ love committments. also myself and davy were going to do the refs course but not now bothering after an incident with the ref at woodside match last month, which is infront of co. antrim fa 2night we both may be finished for this season.

Thats a couple of your big players your losing too, especially your keeper. That f**ked us up a few times this season. We had a shy 16 yr old in nets in big games against the likes of Ballykeel and Abbeyview. Hence the big score line defeats. But what can you do.

We learned a lot from this season, and have ensured not to do it again. Hopefully we will go straight back up.
