Ive been getting a load of texts lately from players who are wanting to join us, all I can say is that word is spreading that we are a progressive team who now do things the proper way. The introduction of the core puts us onto a new level financially and the club can only go from strenght to strenght both on and off the field. If I sign half the players who are wanting to sign I honestly think we'l give the division a good run next season...not saying we'll win it but we'l be closer to the playoffs than this year. This years signings are young energetic players and Im pleased to announce that we have signed William Crockard for this season. He's a quality signing and althought pretty much unknown and not a BIG name he will def be some addition to our squad. Willie will play upfront. Wednesday night I hope to sign maybe another 3 players and I should have them all available to me. I cant name names cause theres no doubt other teams will try to lure them but hopefully they sign for us...if not we have a strong enough squad already. Putting a cap at 20 players this season so therel be some lads very dissapointed that they didnt produce last season. Stan Pre-season starts shortly so be prepared for some horse shoes   ;D |

Just like to welcome John Graham and Mark Graham to the club 2 good young signings. Also Adam Campbell has signed for us and will help out mid weeks and the odd saturday...soupy is a great player and somebody we have been after for a while now. William Crockard signs for us again after a wee absense and William can play a variety of roles at the club and he is def the quiet man of the club lol.

yeah john looked good tonight at that friendly and got 2 assists and mark g came off the bench to score, i adam is a good player looked gd tonite aswell

The reason we dont and have rarley played friendlies against teams in the league is because say we got a drubbing by you it wouldnt really fill us full of confidence for the start of the season,

No we got all our friendlies pencilled in already for the couple of weeks after the 12th holidays. we go to Dunaghy OB, Belfast twice and maybe Upperlands if Kirky organises it lol.
Combine this with the 5 week training programme I have planned and theres not too much room for movement...

Square Soupy has a contract with the Wash Basin out here in Ahoghill, its an outreach centre for various religions and a few of our boys are connected with it. If he can get Saturday mornings off then he'l be available but he'l def be available for midweeks I think if it doesnt interfer with Prayer meeting.
He played well last night and its scarey to think what he'l do when fit and gets his touch back, as I say we chased Soupy every season since we started so its great to have him signed, tho the same goes for him as it does with every single player we have on the books... If you dont train you dont play.

Interesting about Upperlands Stan. I was at my aunt's birthday do a couple of weeks ago and was chatting to my uncle. He's from Upperlands and does a bit of football coaching. Not sure if its Upperlands he coaches with or not (think it very well could be) but he was saying about getting a friendly organised lol. Quite ironic. I think they are a useful side.

Just got a text tonight about a new right back apparently he is an animal and he is comming to pre-season next week.
He played a friendly tonight with a few of our players and according to big Ricky 'he would go thru ye' trevor says 'stan I have 2 dead legs form him kicking me'.
