Would all the WAFA members and all other supporters please note that tomorrow's fixture at home to waveney is now on wakehurst 6 instead of 3 as 3 is waterlogged (and probably unusable until may going by previous seasons! ;D).

Boys I find myself in the unusual position in that a West End win would probably be the best result for the Blackstone tomorrow- or else a draw-in any case just don't be getting beat

Hopefully if the game goes ahead tomorrow in the theatre of dreams (Wakehurst) it should be a good game of football, both teams are really looking for 3pts and nothing less, so lets hope this game goes ahead and both teams put on a good show!! Good luck for the Westenders tomorrow!! Cum'n the Swifts

f**k the drainage in the 2 pitches across the river is diabolical. If the match does go ahead be prepared for a messy battle in a marsh for a pitch.

The drainage across most of the Wakehurst pitches is diabolical. Forgive me as I don't know the numbers but the one to the left of the changing rooms is always the first to get waterlogged, the changing room end of the "big pitch" can be a nightmare at times, especially in the left corner and the pitch which runs parallel to the river (this side of the river) is usually quite bad when 5 minutes of rain appears.

Good result for you guys. Watched the match and it was a real battle that could have went either way. Thought you rode your luck a bit first half but in tyhe second half you came out and had a good go at them. Held on well in the end when reduced to 10 men too!

Good match! Good job their penalty was retaken in the first half cos if they'd of scored it would of killed us off the way we were playin. Super second goal by DC after a through ball by Gazza!! Had to laugh at their No.4's attempt to kick our ball into the river at the end of the match haha. What a muppet ;D ;D

Aye their number 4 was looking to fight at every opportunity I noticed even after a couple of good solid fair tackles from Westend players. Disapppointing to see that kind of thing but I guess we all lose the head at times when we're getting beat.

Good match! Good job their penalty was retaken in the first half cos if they'd of scored it would of killed us off the way we were playin. Nonsense talk!! They were obviously the better team in first half but i felt we settled down a bit second half and after we went down to 10 men we dug in and they had very few attempts at goal. It was difficult playin a new system, especially on a muddy pitch, so it was always going to take a while to adapt to it.

Definitely a tough match on a heavy pitch. Thought we were perhaps a little fortunate to take all 3 points considering how poor we were in 1st half. 2nd half performance was much better especially when we had to dig in with 10 men. Was a much needed victory.

Well done Westend, it was a hard fought win, and as people say we were the better team in the 1st half but had nothing to show for it and you won it in the 2nd half and did have something to show for it which was two goals and 3pts which matters at the final whistle!!
fair enough there was a few fiesty challenges and different stuff going on but that it what you expect from two teams that should be in Div.2
Good luck for the rest of the season lads!!

Seen the team picture in the paper, some fine looking men in there. Im starting to like your hair cuss, have to admire your reluctance to bow to popular pressure and get it cut. Thats it, im growing mine as a show of solidarity.
