Defence was brilliant especially weedo, maybe mckitt needs another try in centre midfield for some creativity.

wasnt much f**kin point in me being there the night! Scott i know its hard for you at the minute but from somebody that has been in your position before you have just got to hang in there and be there for the team when they need you. And as anybody will tell you its hard to change a winning team so i can see were the team selectors are comeing from. Also youd be better going and talking to brian face to face than having an outburst on here cause it doesnt help team morale. After all you were meant to be there last wednesday night and you didnt show up!

Short match report. Was always going to be a very hard game for us tonight and in some ways it was. Connor started the game very brightly with David Waddell clearing the ball off the line in the first few minutes and it must have took the Reds about 15 minutes to get started and when they did they had a few good chances themselves. Brian Surgenor did open the scoring after about 20 minutes wasn't 1 of the greatest goals he ever scored but they all count. Gerry in midfield was pulling the strings for Connor and they did get back into the game through Mervin Crawford. Both teams had a few half chances after that but over all the first half ended 1-1 with Connor possibly just the better side. the Legend then got rattled into the Reds players at half time and it did get a reaction. The second half started with the Reds starting to get their act together and was causing Connor a lot of problems. Their goal keeper was making a lot of good saves and really the Reds should have added to their score it looked as if it was going to be one of them nights. With about 16 minutes to go the Legend introduced Simon Murphy after a long lay off with a groin injury. He was only on the pitch about 5 minutes when he powered the ball past the Connor goal keeper to give him absolutely no chance. Connor then threw everything at the Reds but could not break them down. To sum the game up Connor might just have pipped the first half but certainly the Reds had the best of the second with the Connor keeper making a lot of good saves. Connor had plenty of possession but never troubled Sam Foster in the Reds goal. A very sporting game between the two teams and Connor will take a lot of points off other teams i am sure of that! Good luck! for the rest of the season.
The Team tonight was:
1. Sam Foster 2. Micky Mc Kendry 3. Andy Hart 4. Steven Dripps 5. Willy Mc Kitterick 6. Barry Mott 7. Micky Mc Nally 8. David Waddell 9. John Kitson 10. Brian Surgenor 11. Peter Hurrell
Subs:
Simon Murphy Matt Keenan Scott Taylor Kenneth French
Man of the match *:

Scott i am really disappointed that you have to air your grievances over the airways. I could say an awful lot but make sure and text me if you are available for Wednesday night where i will not mind in the slightest what you have to say. i might be able to answer a few of your concerns. The Reds have 7 league matches left and to be quite honest with you i will be gald when they are over! Who knows where i myself will be next season!
