How can u say we have no homegrown players? McGregor, Smith, Hutton, Adam, Ferguson, Burke, Murray, Boyd.
Fair enough Burke and Murray are injured but the above mentioned have figured more than Marshall, O'Dea, Pearson, Kennedy. Only the latter two didn't come through the academy.
I don't expect miracles from murray park though they are needed at this moment in time. With the exception of your West Ham's, Leeds etc. there are very few clubs who are a conveyor belt for talented youth players, so i don't see a major problem.

ok you have a few coming through. but here is no point bringin young talent through unless there are doing the business on the pitch. this is certianley not the case with rangers as there havin there worst run for a long time. celtic along with hibs in particular have the best young talent in scotland and ours will only get more talented when we have finished our new trainin academy. rangers have a long why to go yet. with the excetion of possibley adam the rest are pish poor, and even at that, did adam not join from another smaller scottish club and not rangers youth rank?  ?? |

Yeah i forgot about Ferguson hes that s**te i didnt even notice, sure Burke hasnt kicked a ball in nearly two years either as has Hutton, so really you lot only have Boyd and Ferguson while the Champions have Wilson, Caldwell, McManus, Maloney, McGeady (even though he choose Eire) that have starred for us this season and play week in week out, even when you look at the the youth league and reserve league its no surprise that Celtic are sitting top of both of them as well!!
The point i was making was that Murray said this and that when Murray park was built about the talent that will emerge from the it, were is all he has given especially the Celtic fans is a good hard laugh at them, as there hasnt been much to catch me eye anyway!! ;D ;D

Last year Chris Burke was arguably our best player though that wouldn't have proved too difficult. Some of his Champions league performances were outstanding. He's had a bad run of injuries but theres no doubting hes got ability.
I'm not prepared to start a slagging match about Ferguson because its pretty obvious what Celtic fans think of him. Barry Ferguson is a superb footballer nobody will change my mind on that.
Charlie adam came through the ranks, but did spend a short spell on loan at St Mirren. Him and McGregor have potential.
Steven Smith is the best left back in Scotland without doubt.
Admittedly the rest aren't upto the mark, and thats Boyd included, he scores goals but his all round game is atrocious.
These are my opinions and as we all know everyones opinion on football is different.

I'm don't deny that Maloney and McGeady are good players either. Caldwell isn't a bad winner but he wouldn't be the most cultured. Haven't seen enough of wilson or McManus to pass judgement.
