Good game on Sat lads, everybody really worked hard and we were looking very dangerous when we attacked and also solid in defense. I'm really looking forward to the semi, we owe both our possible opponants a decent match this year.
On another note that Ref is a complete twat, he's so onesided against us it's ridiculous, really hope we dont get him again

Yeah a very solid performance. Lost our way a bit towards the end but I think that was only because we had a 3 goal cushion and could afford to f**k about a bit.
Delighted that spring is here and we won't have any more matches rained off. Hopefully we can get some momentum going ... although won't be easy with next game versus St Comgalls.

Hold on a wee minute, if we talking about gifting goals i think we were maybe up to that as well........... Think that would have been D Thompson, he is the best no. 7 we have. He was on a stag do but don't worry he will be there for next sat (i think)

we did create lots of chances though, whereas our keeper didnt have much to do other than picking the ball out after 3 mistakes.

Yeah whereas our keeper was kept really busy and had to make loads of world class saves to keep us in the match Woody.

yes. caught the sarcasm. thats why i agreed that their keeper may not have saved many but we did make more chances which we missed

Agreed - you prob did have slightly the better chances in the 1st leg, but at 3-3 it's still anyone's cup-tie and looking forward to a crackin second leg!

yes. that is all i was saying. we had our proper team out unlike the one you beat midweek, and the game was very even so the second leg should be a great game. the final will be tight too for whoever gets through. have to fancy your chances though

heard cullybackey say it was on may day hope yous get a decent ref as i think we had the worst ref in ballymena on monday and the worst ref that covers larne yesterday we conceded 3 minutes into injury time on monday and 2 mins in yesterday which was the killer. i think we were the best team on monday and totally pish yesterday taking nothing away from the cullybackey team they done the buisness yesterday when they got the second a peach of a corner we as good as knew we were gone needing 3 goals

Great battling performance on Saturday lads. Both teams were totally committed. We played some good football in patches and both Woodside keepers made a couple of good saves. The bar was our friend for once, but I thought it would have taken a wonder goal for Woodside to beat us - the strike that hit the bar in the second half was excellent.
Woodside must be gutted to go out on away goals when we both play at Wakehurst but we'll take any bone that's thrown our way after a really poor league campaign.
Hairiest moment was definitely when Kipper gave away a free kick just outside the box with ten minutes to go.
Oh s**t we have another bloody match tonight!

Any chance of a slightly more detailed report Rob? Heard you lost on pens?

Yeah, a fairly even contest.
Cullybackey took the lead after about 20mins after some loose defending at the edge of the box allowed them to get a shot away. Keeper was unsighted and wrong footed.
Blackstone hit back straight away with a fantastic solo effort by Ciaran McKinley. He ran about 20 yds with the ball and his feet towards the edge of the box and smashed the ball into the top corner giving the keeper no chance.
2nd half saw Cullybackey have the better of the possession but it was Blackstone who looked the most dangerous when going forward and we came close to a winner with about 5 mins to go, only for Millsy to mis-time his shot which bobbled to the keeper.
Extra time disappeared without much major incident and then the dreaded penalty shootout which was won 3-1 by Cullybackey with Blackstone missing 3 of their 4 penalties.
All in all, an even game which was played in a good spirit and a good performance from us, just the wrong result. As i've already said... GUTTED!

He ran about 20 yds with the ball and his feet towards the edge of the box Was he runing on his elbows? lol Sorry Rob, couldn't resist that one buddy. Unlucky Blackstone, yous did well getting to the final. Take the positives out of it, and build for next season. Yous have a very good squad there, and i have no doubt next season yous will be one of the teams to watch

Tough cup match on Saturday lads need everyone on top of their games.
Westend haven't done themselves much justice recently, but for me are one of the Top 4 sides in Division 3 (as their good goal difference indicates...or maybe they've just played Demense twice I haven't checked)
I will be very surprised if Westend don't finish the season in top 4. Thankfully we don't have to play them in the league again.

In fairness, their league position also suggests that they are one of the top 4 sides before I get slagged but I think you know what I'm trying to say. A top side.

Aye, should be a decent cup tie as not much between us usually. Would be nice to win the Sammy in our last season in div 3!
