What a game last night boys, that was definatley the best we've played in a long while, think we all know we deserved to win it, we played them off the park for the majority of the game, if not all of it and had a lot more chances than they did. The fact that they are a first division side should give us a lot of confidence going into the new season. They got lucky with their second goal and as much as i love Flecky, if we get a penalty in the league and he steps up to take it he will be shot. Plain and simple.
Pugford the score was 2-1 to Randalstown, when it comes to these friendlies they [like the Masserene one] are usually played in good spirit but if this had been a league game they would have been done to 9 men! Some shocking sportsmanship from a few of their boys.

I think that's a bit harsh Numero Uno - there were a few x rated tackles but it was only really by one of their players and it was just down to pure frustration as they expected to beat us. Overall I thought they were a great bunch of lads.
The referee was good but seemed to play about 55 minutes in each half.
Anyway we can be very proud of the performance and if we can be slightly more clinical in the league then few teams in Division 3 will match us.

Very impressive lads.
Sounds like yous really took it to them.
Fair play. I hope yous do well this season. A good result like that should see yous burst out of the blocks. The reds are a very good side, with some quality players. Yous must have been good to deserve something out of the game. And for the reds to say so.

There's no substitute for class and with the Cowboy making his new season debut, we were certs to dominate! Gutted we came away with nothing. All in all though, a great Blackstone performance. |
