ricky wilson and alan cochrane played for randalstown united when they were younger and used to live in randalstown so they are not a blow ins.so why would u like to see carniny beat the sky blues then? sounds to me like a bit of jealousy? i like to see all the randalstown teams doing well and would like all 3 in the first division. as for the defenders u have mentioned, i have never heard of any of them. do they know where randalstown is at? have they ever played at fortress neillsbrook? its a very intimidating place! lol! so ur saying brucey wouldnt make ur team? now u really are taking the p1ss! COME ON SKY BLUES! Top of the table. Catch us IF u can benny i think its about time you shut the f**k up and leave patton alone every team has blow ins as you call them, its not just us so shut the f**k up, they play for athletic because want to and they want athletic do well and wat the f**k have we got to be jealous i think youll find wit steksys comment about the carniny game he was be sarcastic

Theres more chance of Ewarty parting with a strand of his hair than giving away a pound ;D he's none of them left to part with!!! ricky wilson's one of the most commited players to randalstown sky blues, so i dnt think it matters where he lives or where athletic players live or are from. look at thierry henry, he's hardly a londoner!!

so why would u like to see carniny beat the sky blues then? sounds to me like a bit of jealousy? Benny, Robin is actually right on it..........get a sense of humor you Muppet so ur saying brucey wouldnt make ur team? now u really are taking the p1ss! And if I were really honest, I don't think I would play Bruce before the players I mentioned at centre half. Don't be too surprised, the players I mentioned are very good players regardless if you know them or not. The question Bruce has to ask himself is if Weedo was still with the club, would Bruce play at all...........doubt it. Chay, Weedo, Sammy Neill and the other lad you recently signed at right back would probably be the back four.........oh did I mention your new lad was from Antrim. david irvine, ciaran mcbrien, shane ruddy, emmanuel valliday, roy willighan, stephen hamilton, graeme mcateer. sorry if i have left anyone out thats all i found on the athletic website.how many of these 7 would be in athletics 1st choice XI? how many years have they lived in randalstown between them?thats my argument. I'm quite aware that steven lives in randalstown and has done for a while! For the record, I have lived in Randalstown 12 years exactly to the day.... 1st March 1994 Also Benny, I'm confused......we are in a better position now than we were when I took over, mainly due to the players you mentioned........so whats your argument Benny, a bit of advice....concentrate on your own team and leave us alone. But just keep a little eye on us as we will just might catch your great wee club one day ;D

Im 21. I have said on many occassions that there has been a massive improvement since u joined. But why call it randalstown athletic if its mostly antrim players.name another team in the league with the majority of theyre team outside of the town they play for.and for the record fresh prince, sky blues are not only a team, theyre almost famil and like all the members of sky blues, we love our great wee club. Brucey would make any team in the saturday morning league. Why would carniny be wanting him to sign? and ur telling me he wouldnt get on ur team? ur having a laugh.
weebirdie- why do u have to use foul and abusive language in almost every argument? its not big and its not clever

Benny, so your argument is based around Antrim players playing for us and because of that we should not be called Randalstown Athletic..........I will let others comment on that first before I make a comment. You asked for one other team in the league that dont have many players playing for them thats from their town..............Templepartrick FC......is one enough. Football is all about opinions.....and rightly so you are entitled to yours, but I am also entitled to mine and its my opinion that I dont think Bruce would improve us at Centre Half due to the players currently playing for me. Marc Lucas came to me from a 1st Division side and both Shane and Mac could easily get into the sky blues team. Shea will take time to get fit but is as good as Bruce......my opinion. And now you are a family team ........youse really have to stop that inter-breeding benny ;D

well at the end of the day i wouldnt sign for u so thats that out of the picture im at the sky blues yes if weedo was there i might not be playing when weedo was there he was left back dont think i can play there somehow but u never know and also u left mark waddell out of the team obviously u are not a great manager if u would leave such a young talented player like mark out of the team he has never been dropped from the sky blues team in his years of being there
stevie ive nothing against athletic wat so ever and have mates playing for them but u saying i wouldnt get on your team and making that quite clear thats your decision and 1 that u will never have 2 make i hope 2 be at the sky blues for a long time they are a great club and im happy with everyone at it always good crack and stevie i dont think for 1 minute your centre halfs would get on the sky blues team infront of who daryl chay bruce eddie stuarty reid sammy or dixon somehow i dont think it ha ha ha ha ha

All I will say on this subject is I have watched Scott Bruce grow up from a young lad in Randalstown he watched the Sky Blue's with his granda most weeks .Even at that young age I knew if Scott was good enough some day how much he would want to play for the Sky Blue's as do all young lads in Randalstown .Watching Athletic last year in the playoffs Scott stood out a complete mile he was the best player on the pitch. The Sky Blue's came along then as they do and snipped him up for this year and made his dream come true .I rate Scott very very highly for one so young he will go on in my eye's if he stays at the Sky Blue's to be one of the greatest defenders they have had!!. And Scott you could play in the 2 nd div with your eye's shut'' wish the Reds had you!!

Just to answer some of your points 1 Why are we such a great wee club ? because we are one of a small bunch of Clubs born out of the start of the Saturday Morning League, and over the years have prided ourselves on a nice mixture of Local players and striking a nice mixture of players from other towns ,player generally have enjoyed it so much at our great wee club that they have stayed and gave us their best playing years, and when they stop playing and leave they look back on there days with us with great affection .we also have been quite successful over the years winning lots of silverware and we are well respected all over the North . We have members still at the club from when it first started . 2 How are we a family club ? because we generally get on so well and make everyone welcome at our great wee club, and have always had sets of relations playing with us at any given time. 3 What do we think of players from outside the town ? We have no problem with that at all and have always welcomed players from outside the town, but at the same time being careful that we don't do this at the expense that a local player is denied a chance of proving himself, and at the same time being able to keep our identity as a Randalstown team . All the Randalstown teams priority when entering the league I have no doubt was to give local lads a chance, and have a identity with the town ,and I'm sure thats the same for all clubs starting out whatever town they come from, and sometime them principles can be forgot about to the detriment of the clubs ,It would be more of an achievement winning something when the majority of the team can have an identity from that town, than to toss the locals aside and bring in nothing but players from other towns, and surely thats is a great thing being able to do that after all its a local league , it would look rather silly if our great wee club played Ahoghill who had all Randalstown players in it and we were full of Ahoghill players ,get my point
