Can anyone stop F.C. Penarol or is the League already over.

no-one will stop Penerol. No other team in the league has the ability they have.

Do you think Penarol will stay undefeated for rest of season because you say no one else has their ability or will the pressure get to them I think they will crack up because they are not usually that great when the pressure is on.

Can't see how u can say that Penarol are not that great when the pressure is on. They've lost one match, the first of the season against Randalstown, are sitting top of the league, have beaten 2 strong teams from the Amateur League in the Junior Shield, and scored almost twice as many goals as any of the other teams in the league. When they have gone behind they've come back with controlled football to score goals and destroyed teams. So far they haven't been under pressure but will of course have to maintain the disciplined football they are playing to do what they did last year - win trophies

If i'm wrong i apologise, but i think Penerol won every trophy they entered last year so i don't see how they crack under pressure.

we more than matched youse, and after going 3-2 up, should have beaten youse!
im friendly with 3 or 4 from ur team and they admitted it too!

Well its now April, the Homers have defeated penerol twice, are currently sitting top of the league and are in the running for three cups. So Yes penerol can be defeated and if it wasnt for us having a couple of poor results at the start of season we would have won the league no bother

But isn't football spelt " if only" !!!!!! No doubt Penerol could say a bit more luck in the last match and chances taken would have been goals. Makes for a great finish to the league though for a change - no fun it being a runaway victory for one team

Was watching the game on sat and didn't see daniel but saw jason mckay and tweedy on the bench, so the two of them have left ballykeel for the homers!
Don't understand why they'd leave a ballykeel team sitting at the top of div 2 to do sub for the homers?!

|
|
Post by harty on Jan 19, 2009 16:18:05 GMT
Well to be fair I think the two names in question were only doing sub for Ballykeel.
So maybe their thinking was I might as well do sub for the Homers rather than Ballykeel??
