I see the ballymena council has raised the matchday fees up . A pitch now will cost the home club £30.35 ...increase of approx £4.... With ref fees goin up also ..... clubs will struggle with the money sides of things . 3g for a match is £99

Cheers Goram , damn it is getting serious expensive to play a game of footie. So this season we will see refs charging more than £50 considering many refs charged £47 this past year. I know a few hurling refs who only get £15 a match plus travel. Looks like a nice little earner

Yeah it is serious some of the costs just for a game. £99 for the 3g pitch in ballymena is a joke , i think Larne @ seacourt was only £39 last year although don't quote me on that. Whats the most you guys have paid for a ref ?

We are paying 44 a week at the min just to train 2 nights. Hope these pitch increases don't stretch as far as antrim as I know they would hurt us

It's open already not big enough for pre season training be good for the winter though. Loads of room at the steeple tho its not in great condition. It is an option we are considering though.

I've said this before but...in the afternoon league each division pay x amount for a ref each week. The ref records this amount on the team card + sends receipt in etc etc. At the end of the season the average cost of a ref & average of what each team paid is calculated & each team then either owe money or get coin back. Whis the refs are dear at least each team are paying the same amount

Refs at junior level will never sign anything saying how much they have been paid...... aul Hector could start taking an interest

Get rid of all the clubs not in a 10 mile radius of Pitch 5 at the showgrounds..that would sort that out.
