Left at 2-0 Carniny with not long left.
Great first from Wilkinson, cut in from the left and bent one into the far corner...
...second came after great work from Leslie, turned his marker inside and out (anyone remember who the marker was? I forget.... ;D), I mean really owned him before crossing for someone to head home...maybe Bambi?

I thought tonights game was alot better than the recent league game, Carniny started the stronger with the Homers finishing the half better.
I thought Lesley and Bambi were the difference tonight, both had very good games with Les being my man of the match, some goal from Wilko as he really had little option although i thought wee Jasey could of got tighter.

Have to agree....Homers had a couple of fantastic chances towards the end of the 1st half, Rainey's header the one that stands out. His movement to get on the end of it was super though!!!
Second half I thought Bambi and particluarly Leslie took control...two great players in there!!

To be fair to Homers I thought their conditioning was very good after coming through such a task on Saturday in extreme heat...if they were suffering they didn't show it. |

well done to carniny tonight, we were very lazy and flat tonite i thot and they were so much more sharper than us.
I couldnt get one leg by the other tonight, playing 2 games in 3 days took its toll on me...no energy watsoever.
lesley and big bambi played well tonight, i just couldnt get started tonite against them.
3 days to rest now for the other final, hopefully we can put it right!
well done to carniny again, deserved it tonite!

Thought we deserved it tonight, 1st to every ball and dominated in the midfield. Agree with Pele in les being MOM. Big bambi deserved his goal tonight been super all season.
Going to really struggle next year without Del, Gaz, Balmer, Eddie, Leslie, Fraz, Wilky, Dowie and Mo.

Carniny especially seem to be about to change things about a bit...is it right enough roger is a long term casualty? Mo possibly for ballymena? Wilkinson for clough afternoon...already 3 big players missing. I'm sure there'll be additions and exits from the 3 big sides, all 3 capable of attracting top names!! |
