I don't know about teams looking in but I'm sure there will be some. I know if you don't finish in the top two or win the playoffs you don't really deserve to go up. But it would still be a good opportunity for some teams to up the standard.

I know its only 1 team less than the 1st, but 1st div teams pad out the season with runs in the junior shield/cup and the domestic trophies

In some ways finishing 3rd may be seen to be preferable than finishing second. Both teams are assured of going up, but the 3rd placed team would have the chance to win some silverware with the playoffs. Yea true mate, and a few extra games at the end of the season ;D |
