I thought we deserved at least a point tonight To be fair, I think alot of our boys were in last game season mode for tonight and being honest I don't think the homers had to work hard for the win (hammering) at all they probably couldve stepped it up a gear and the score wouldve ended up easily double figures. Can't remember Homers having to work very hard for more than 2 of their goals, but they punished is basically every time. They are vey direct, we seemed to deal ok with the first ball, but not the second or third! Gotta say when you see the team homers can get out, there really is no reason why they shouldnt be wining the league, Rainey, Campbell, mcNeill, chimpy, bonnsey all going forward is a hell on an attacking threat. This is going to sounds ridiculous after a 9-0 beating, and I hope somebody from homers will back me up on this :-) but big Sexton was top class for us tonight , he gave the big centre half nothing all night, really tough shift up on his own, worked his balls off and was a goalscoring threat as well. If we had fish, db09 or mcquitty I wouldve fancied us to have scored at least a couple goals.... Though don't think we could've got the 9 ;D Anyway good luck to homers for the rest of the season and it's great to see an old buddy of mine Davy Gibson back playing again, never have I met a more unlucky footballer so hoping he gets a few injury free seasons under his belt. |
