Not really the cracker final everyone wanted but think thats down to both teams cancelling each other out, quite a scrappy game with the odd hard challenge threw in as per usual lol.
Congrats to Thistle on the Cup win to round of a great season, and to Northend who deservedly are league champions and had a great season as well....bit of silverware each seems fair enough for the season both teams have had!!

Good post robot.
I think Thistle deserved their win, NE pushed at the end but created very little. Big bear was NE's best attacking option so sorta tells ye how the game went.
I thought Thistle won the game in the middle of the park and tbf our old friend Conkers had a very good game.
Good to see both sides shake hands and wish each other well at the final whistle and as robot says maybe both teams deserved one trophy each after the good season.

Wasn't much of a game but Thistle sneaked a goal and again i think they deserved it.
Last 10 minutes Northend pushed hard but couldn't get the goal, very unlucky with the ball bouncing back down on the line off the bar and a great goal line clearance by the Thistle fullback. Bonkers was superb tonight i thought, punched everything from set pieces.
I'm sure both teams will be happy enough with how their seasons went. Big step up to the 1st division now

Yea I agree with that as well, think Danny just got the better off Donald this time around, won a lot of headers and was always involved...them two have had great aerial battles in all the games this season, Dee and Baldy were brilliant as well. Bonkers had a few good saves and with Stumpy sending in 3 or 4 brilliant corners in the second half, he dealt with them well by coming too collect or punch

Took in this game also. Very scrappy final indeed and I think thistle just about deserved the win. Great battle in the midfield, which i thought Donald Crawford wasn't anywhere near his best but battled hard. As for man of the match, I thought bonkers was outstanding in nets but for me the quite man boville wins this. Some tremendous last ditch interceptions towards the end, especially the header off the line which was sailing into the net. Interceptions like these can be as crucial as a goal. Well done thistle. Must I add, Shermi was as lively as ever with the kodak and I'm sure he has some nice snaps.

Donald has been carrying an injury so i'd say he felt it during the game, but as usual he never gave up.

Donald has been carrying an injury so i'd say he felt it during the game, but as usual he never gave up. Probably explains why he wasn't his normal self. A fit Donald Crawford would have made a big big difference. Where's Saints Homers at tomorrow mate?
