was playing in the match last nite and talk to paul after the match said he made some bad calls and said sorry. so imo takes a good ref to do that . ps hope that young kid on the sideline that got hit is ok.

i hear paul berry  disallowed to great abbeyview goals terrible ref He will be reffing you next year......and reads the forums..... I have found him to be a good ref, always explains himself and makes the big decisions rather than dodge them. Your right donko he is a good ref and when I seen him last night I was happy cuz I knew it would have taken a strong ref. Unfortunately he had a mare but he's only human and if Essex says he held his hands up at the end of the game then fair play for that. Sandy certainly isn't biased towards antrim teams he's just a terrible ref. |

Still can't believe robbo finished off zolas goal bound effort must of been a yard out and was no need to even risk touching it could be very costly. Regardless of whether or not he should have touched it he came from 5 to 10 yards behind zola, who let's remember was clean through, so robbo couldn't possibly be offside |

That is true jeff but why risk giving the ref something to think about which is wot it did. I'd understand if a shore player was going to clear it off the line if robbo didnt touch it but there was no one close to him.

another great game against abbeyview, thought both teams played well.
i have to say paul berry is 1 of the best ref's in the league
but everyone has a bad day (just like myself last night)

Haler i thought you were more like ronals last nite rooling around the ground and gurning at the ref da whole game. lol. TBH aarons two goals were screamers. Was a good game to watch and a very big crowd down for it as well.

Maybe I should not read everybody's comments because it winds me up but like a few people said I'm only human however I strongly disagree with most of your comments because your only saying it how you wanted it to be and not how it actually was from a referee,s point of view.
I do not have to explain myself to anyone as I believe no matter what decision I make within a spilt second is my 100% honest judgement call and when and if I get it wrong I will quickly make a b line to persons connected and say sorry and will explain myself.
1st disallowed goal
Roy took it around the player/keeper and willshot into an empty net at the same time I looked and the player was 5 yards upfront of ball ( I said in my head please don't touch this please please) and the player 1 yard from going in kicked it which left me no choice but to disallow goal) no matter what player says to you he was on side trust me he was off when the ball was kicked.
2 nd disallowed goal
Player shot but the other player was 2 yards in front of the strikers as it came back off the keeper he was already in an officposition fromwhen the ball was struck thus giving him an unfair advantage when thethe ball was kicked.
Handle of the line t, I honestly thought I seen a hand through the crowd but actually thought it was the keeper saving it

I would't take the comments too serious on here Paul, most players like to blame everyone bar thereselves for goals and the ref is normally the first to get it ;D

Abbeyview2nd goal prob was off side but I was not too sure as it was so close, and it left me with no choice but to give the attacker the benifit.
When I blew for Roy off side and he was clean through I looked after I had blew and realised the right back was playing him on and I knew I was a twaxt for blowing to early.
2 fellows all match I believe was because of management on the pitch I actually smiled all the way through because I actually enjoyed the battle of the players and the good nature it was played in.
I ran 10km during this game which is on par with premier league reds thus telling me this was a fast and explosive game from end to end for 90 mins.
Am I looking for arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr didums or arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr the poor lad, no I'm actually not I just hate the fact it was down to poor referring, never self disapline, never I was cap today I deserved that red or yellow or I missed an open goal prob, we should of won it 6_0 yet we lost 1_0 because of the referee.
When I go into any game its with an open mind and 100% commitment to you players and to your teams to so we all go home safe and most of all you enjoyed it.

He is right though. Not a single match has been lost by a team in the BSML this year because they happened to be 5hite on the day with 4 still p1ssed, 2 in the early stages of a hangover, 1 huffing cos he was dumped the night before and having 4 DavyFTBs (i.e. cr*p) on the pitch. Nope! It woz the ref wot beat us!!!!! He's a wnaker. Blind cnut. Cheated us all game.  |

Appreciate you taking the time to reply Paul as you say you don't have to do that. Having said that I still disagree with you on the offside decisions. But its gone now and if we go down as is looking likely it won't be due to one game or any ref its because we havent been good enough. As I said earlier we all make mistakes or we wouldn't be in the bsml. Don't take comments to heart.
