what a game today lads, prob the most spirited display off football ive seen. In a game where the ref give nothing, 1 goal that was out by a mile and two goals that where clearly offside, it was def a game that penarol deserved but took penalties to decide it in the end.
I knew the scoreline last week flattered ahoghill and the wind was the deciding factor in that match. Can hold our heads high after that display penarol and hope thats the standard for the rest of the season and we did it without 2 of our usual key men. Big shout out for andy the super sub who came on and scored within a min to make the scoreline 3-3 and take it to extra time.

Was a very good game and hard fought (think the pitch came off the worst). Few sore legs today never mind heads from the Fountain. All Jimmy King asks is to get his name in the Ballymena Guardian, under the match report and no other section that is

in doit, bale, mcburney, mo and mcfadden, 5 key players who played last week were all rested, and that showed in the first half as it was all Penerol. Think when doit, bale and mcburney came on in second half it was all Thistle, with Penerol hitting Thistle brilliantly on the counter attack, quick one to passes were cutting right through Thistles defence. Was a brilliant match to watch, even on that pitch lol, could have been more than 5-5 as well, both teams missing chances.
And thought ur keeper Colin was brilliant at the pens, got a hand to all of them apart from bales I think.

Bales was unstoppable Keeper was very very good at the pens and throughout match. He needed that after last week If penerol fight like that every week they will be right up there come the end. I still feel personally if we thistle played penerol on a good pitch on a lovely sat morning we would be too strong Good luck lads
