If you think saturday was a rested team wait til you see the state of us this week, mickey could even be playing. Fair to say the Rainey Cup isn't high on our list of priorities

Was talking to Vinny and he is making the trip to Dunloy which must be a good boost to your team! A few boys have taken halfers, moved shifts, got wives to move shifts etc. I'm very happy to see it, shows the commitment. Hopefully it pays off

I have to admit, the fixtures have been horrendous for Westend
Post by Rab on Apr 10, 2011 20:18:03 GMT
And the add insult to injury, the fixture machine has for some reason put us not on our home pitch for the game against st Comgalls but on the pitch beside. All Saints have our pitch for their showpiece game against Carnlough. Amazing Jeff

In 10 games we will have played only 1 home game!
Post by Rab on Apr 10, 2011 20:28:07 GMT
And the 11th game we are down as home but are playing on an away not familiar pitch. All Saints have had plenty of time over the last while to get home games in, we have not been playing there

To be fair, at this level I don't think the actual pitch matters (not at Showgrounds anyway, they are both good), I think home advantage comes from not traveling, and knowing your surroundings, and also having the natives watching. You should be grand on the other pitch

I have to admit, the fixtures have been horrendous for Westend Agree Donko, not a free day for us, from the midweeks started we will not have had a game off. What's going on it's not like we have a mountain of league games left ffs
