MITTY would the management have been so stupid to do this and risk being docked 12 points if this is the case ?

It was said in the changing room after the game that whether its true or not we still have to go and win our 3 games which we're more than capable of doing Thats the spirit Norton still going to protest which could mess up all your seasons hard work if found guilty

why does it matter that he's only 16?? im only 19, and i was suspended tonite, connor never started me or brought me on the last 15 mins. im pretty sure if use would of saw me coming on or any other player for us who was suspended or unsigned the last 15 mins, use wouldnt be happy and put a protest in too. so dont give us alot of s**te about crying or gurning because at the end of the day we stuck to the rules tonight and didnt play suspended players, and michelin played unsigned players, end of story. connor will get the 3 points, and michelin could possibly be docked points...which to be honest is a shame, because there in the play off spots, and held there own tonight

Can't believe there's folk on here claiming we're in the wrong for putting a protest in when the opposing team has played a player who's not signed lol. Rules are there for a reason... if we turned up to play Broadway with 5 players who weren't signed and we beat them to win the league and they protested would everyone still be on saying "you's weren't good enough to beat them on the day so no point protesting"? exactly

After Connor beat us twice on our own patch they rubbed it in big time by cheering like Marty O'Neill on acid and then in the changing room... ok let it pass i thought to myself, they are just delighted by beating a title rival (at the time). Even after the game tonight I felt for you's because a few of you were lying on the grass, disappointed at losing the edge in the title race, but reading the drivel and desperation over last few pages just paints the club in their true light...with only one or two posters gracious and mannerly in their frustration at tonight's result...so c'mon the Hoops!! ...And if anything does come of a 16 year-old YOUTH player, playing the last few minutes of a injury-laden side who have had to play 5 games in 10 days, meanwhile selecting drastically unfit bodies just to fulfill the fixture...I, for one, won't be playing in this league again.

I'll say this then thats me finished on this thread. Great battling performance from us tonight, especially for the injuries we have and the form we were in, back 4 especially were immense. Hopefully it'll be a springboard for us winning our last 4 games, including Broadway . If Connor feel the need to protest so be it, maybe covers the cracks in their team that they were so unhappy they couldnt beat wee Michelin. I wasnt going to post it, but im that f**ked off with things that I may as well. I heard Campbell snr say after the game to a few boys that was the league lost last night, obviously not confident you will beat the bhoys. As I said I wasnt going going to post it because if Mich didnt win the league then it would make no signifigence to me who does, but maybe shows why Connor are so 'desperate' to follow up on this. Going on from what Mich said about the Connor celebrations after their 2 win at the MAC. A few Mich lads were hurting from a fellow title chasing team (at the time)winning at ours and going a bit OTT with celebrating it, so it would have easy for few ones from Mich last night to go over the top in rubbing Connor's faces in it with us putting a dent in their title asperations but there was nothing at all. As I said in another thread, Connor and Broadway deserve promotion, the league table doesnt lie. If you win your 3 games and win the league you will be best team in the division and with deserve to be 2nd division champions, simple as. IF its won with he route your taking now and not beating Broadway, I hope its a hollow victory for you knowing you didnt deserve to win the Division. All the best

I think the problem is, and its not really Connor fault, but a certain person from their squad has come on here, time after time, has bigged himself up and has been very disrespectful towards other teams, its doing Connor no favours - thats why nobody is having any sympathy for them, even if they are in the right

All the best Some very good points there Mitty but tbh knowing a lot of the Michelin lads I would be very surprised if they had jumped around rubbing folks noses in it. All good lads. It's just a pity the injury crisis hampered your title challenge!! Personnally I don't really care (from our point of view) if Connor protest or not, it doesn't change anything for us, we still need to win our games. What I would care about though is, because of a youth player getting a few minutes run out towards the end of a 0-0 draw, that Connor would protest and possibly end any Michelin cahnces of promotion if they were to be deducted points and labelled cheaters over something that didn't change the game what so ever. That young lad had no bearing on the outcome of the game no matter if he was eligable or not. It would appear that Connor just weren't able on the day, it happens us all. As Lenny says, suck it in and win your remaining games. In my opinion, Michelin deserve an awful lot of credit for holding Connor considering their current squad availability and I hope they don't somehow fall victim to sour grapes and lose out on playoffs by being wrongfully labelled cheats!!!

Alot of boys very quick to criticise here, I bet if it had been someone else who mentioned Michelin breaking the rules (apparently) then there wouldn't have been this big panty-wetting session. Moving onto the match, thought Michelin defended very well, especially from corners, as we had maybe 8-10 but only had one header on target from them. The big centre half, McKeown I think, is one of best centre halfs I've played against in this league. Thought Leroy was very lucky not to get sent off, two late challenges that both deserved yellow, but ref didn't give the second one. Anyway, don't know why Michelin have been in such bad form recently based on lastnights performance, maybe you upped your game for us haha But all best for the remaining games and hope to see you next year in first division

If guilty will Michelin lose 12 points. That could seriously damage their promotion hopes if this was the case.

If guilty will Michelin lose 12 points. That could seriously damage their promotion hopes if this was the case. That's my understanding of the rules. Considering the nature of the alledged offence it's a seriously harsh punishment, which was my point regarding a protest as IMO it (the result last night) makes little difference to the title race. As Norty says Connor feel more than capable of winning their remaining games!!!

We definitely do fish and whether a protest goes in or not we, as players, still have to go out and win our last 3 games and that's all i'm focussing on and i'm sure the rest of the squad is the same! But whats got me is the fact that when Carniny were supposed to have broken the rules in regards the Junior Cup/Shield there were people on saying "rules are rules" and if they've done something wrong they should be punished, yet now its seen as acceptable! IF found guilty and Michelin lose 12 points then "rules are rules" and its their own fault

To be honest lads i think Connor defo should put a protest in, we were all quick to jump on Dobies back when Carniny were guilty of a rules misinterpretation, but for Michelin to so blatantly break the rules is beyond belief, what were they thinking, Connor have every right to protest the result, however as said before, i hope they have photographic evidence. Michelin have only themselves to blame if they are docked any points, it was a stupid thing for their manager to do and he will only have himself to blame if they miss out on the play offs because of it.
Although at the same time i have to say what a d**k this fella was coming on to these forums and spouting off about it, things like this should be done behind closed doors and should be between the two teams and the league committee, he has done Connor no favours by coming out with this c**p on here.

Any wonder some Broadway players posted the truth on the Junior cup thread as they were pretty pissed as i think any team would be. I actually didt believe the loan thing until i read it on another forum that raj admitted it. And agree post of the week from bfp ;D
