from wat i can remember a certain neil lennon had to retire from international football because of a few idiots just because he played for celtic. Lennon didnt bring it on himself but wat i can say is no one deserves to get death threats but david healy brought it on himself. I actually used to like healy but After his comments and flute playing antics i just realise how much of a w###er he realy is.

For a start I honestly believe the whole famine thing he said was solely used in football terms only, somebody put 2 and 2 together and got 1 with it. The flute thing was ill advised, but he was having a bit of banter with the Celtic Crowd at the time, and after the uproar with it all he knew it made a bit of a judgement error doing it.

Most if not all the celtic fans on here stated that Healy was having banter with the hoops fans (even Lisbon admitted it ) when imitating playing the flute. On his comments about a famine, when did he refer to the potato famine?? It was clearly a figure of speech. Healy is a great role model and far from being the u refer to him as. Healy! Healy! Healy!

So, if the Celtic fans call him all the names of the day then it must be acceptable, but if Healy responds with a gesture of playing the flute then it is not acceptable, even though it was all a bit of fun...?? And with regard to Neil Lennon, surely he kind of brought it on himself in a way. I mean he must of known that pockets of Northern Ireland supporters would not have liked a Celtic player playing in the team back then?? Of course he didnt deserve death threats etc, but theres no way that he expected everything to be the same at international level for him after moving to the green side of glasgow....

well moving to a team like glasgow celtic should encourage the ni fans but in there case it didnt. Y is this i dont understand. If you look at the players that was playing in the team at the time of the death threats there wouldnt be any one in the team with the honours that neil lennon had.How many of the current ni squad have the achievments at club level as a first team player that neil lennon had. Not one i dont think

He brought it on himself? Are you for real? For signing for a better club that he supported as a boy and experiencing Champions Lg football etc. I hardly think that warrants death threats. If you think it does then you have one hell of a chip on your shoulder. And lets be honest, in the current climate (with the frenzy over the song of the same name) that was the worst word Healy could have used, i dont think he meant it, but it was a silly thing to say none the less. It doesnt deserve the abuse he is getting, although to be fair i think the death-threats are an exageration just internet "hard-men"mouthing off. Now Lennons threats were delivered to him to the police (an hour before an International match), that was genuine, and in my view a lot more serious

All i was saying is that surely Neil Lennon could not have believed that everything would be the same at home to pockets of northern ireland supporters, thats all..

Ok post maybe getting outta control, maybe best if we just nip this all. Simple fact pockets of Northern Ireland still living in the past, which very unfortunate. Healy hopefully just takes it all in his stride and deals with the situation. Hopefully still feels proud to wear a Norn Iron top.
